It’s a very long time since I’ve posted here AND upgraded my AW. My last Hermès was a Series 6 44mm and been content with my reliable OG Ultra from 2022.

Figured it was time to upgrade, dive back into my favorite thread, celebrate and splurge for my 56th with a duo, Hermès Faubourg Party 46mm and Ultra 3 En Mer Orange, extra straps Gris Titane En Mar, Scuba’H diving and Kilim single tour.

Picking up the Ultra 3 and extra straps tomorrow and unfortunately gotta wait for the Faubourg Party.

Pics tomorrow!

Congrats on all your purchases, and most important of all your birthday! Happy Birthday!!! 🎁🎉🎁
Yeah, I buy my own birthday presents too. No one knows me better than moi.

Hey all, hope everyone is enjoying their new straps/watches.

Question from me, has anyone successfully managed to punch a new hole into one of the woven Hermes bands? I’m loving the Faubourg Party but it’s a bit big for my wrist and I could do with one additional hole. All thoughts/experiences greatly appreciated :)

Need advice on how to not scratch my new Grand H fin watch band 🤔.. it’s so beautiful! Does it scratch/ding easily?

The band is stainless steel so it scratches quite easily. Think of it like a leather patina and over time you’ll appreciate it. All my high end stainless/titanium watches are scratched, but they tell a story. Enjoy your watch and band!

Hermès Bleu Nuit Faubourg Party

It looks great, and is softer than regular Hermès woven nylons. Somewhere between the Tricot (which was bendy but slightly rough to touch) and the Bridon (which are really soft).
Mine arrived yesterday and I love it. It’s soft and comfortable. It fits bigger than my other bands and I had to move from hole 4 to 5 (e.g. toile h and kilim).

Anyone washed their En Mer bands? Lol mine isn't dirty yet, but I am sure bright orange won't be so bright orange after a few weeks. Is it water proof or water resistant? My Jumping bands I soak in nearly boiled water in a bowl with a washing tab for 2 hours, rub them, rinse them and dry them. Would this work on the En Mer?

You’d have to use a hot hole punch. It basically goes through the fabric and sears any of the loose strands of fabric together.

Risky given the higher cost of the Faubourg party.

Would maybe buy a used one from eBay that I don’t care about and use that as my test

Does that mean I can get one as is and don’t need to add an extra hole like I always do with their leather bands? Or is it the other way round (you use hole 4 and it’s too loose and you move to hole 5 to make it tighter?)

Their 46mm bands is slightly too big for my wrist and I always have to add a new hole

It’s a packed day at Apple Store. Excited to pickup my HU3 and extra bands after a long hiatus.

Tried on the Scub’H diving band and surprisingly, I was unimpressed with the rubber material and texture. Decided it was a no go, and found a Kilim Gris at Hermès which I snagged instead.

We ended up taking a bit longer than expected trying to extract ourselves from Apple Store—so much new stuff to check out. Was eying the Cosmic orange 17PM but handling the new Air was "oh this is nice" like my Z Fold 7. Gonna wait for the Air 2. It was getting dark and didn't get the opportunity to setup the HU3 until late.

Inital impressions, no issues pairing and Maritime is my favorite new watch face coming from 4 years of Modular Ultra.

Was planning to post unboxing pics but will save that for tomorrow. Here's some quick mediocre lighting pics:

Loving the Gris Titane En Mer—color gives off utility vibes, coordinates with titanium case color perfectly and the titanium hardware is *chefs smooch*. En Mer's polyamide yarn material feels very durable and perhaps easy to maintain, using a damp cloth soaked with mild free-n-clear wash liquid.

I tried on the Scub'H Diving but the rubber was surprisingly rough and design felt "uninspiring". Will probably strap roll between En Mer and Kilim or Nomad Rocky Point band (great waterproof strap, chunky ti hardware, durable).

Picked up the orange Kilim for incoming S11 Faubourg Party, and looks quite smashing with U3 despite the connector contrast (matte vs. polished). Bleu Nuit En Mer and Kilim Gris arriving from Hermes sometime next week.

Whew what an exciting day, cheers and have an amazing rest of your weekend my friends!

Hello! I ordered my first Apple Watch Hermes edition and went with the 46mm with the Grand H Satine band in small.
As you know the box also includes the Hermes orange sport band but it's only in the M/L size, which is too big for me.
Does anyone know how you can exchange the sport band for the S/M size?

Pulled the trigger on the Grand H Satiné 42mm: my S9 didn't need replacing at all, but in for a penny, etc. I had spent way too long looking at Japanese listings on eBay and didn't want to miss it again, and got the whole watch for less than those listings were asking for. It is very, very nice: @DMG35 is right, I also had the link bracelet and this is a lot better, with a pleasing heft for want of a better way to put it that a metal strap should have. The S11 watch is also a nicer upgrade than I expected: I do notice the thinness. While I also like the slightly larger screen — and I do see more text fits on it — back in 2015 when I got my Edition (lost to the LA fires :( ) I went for the 38mm as I thought the 42mm was too chunky coming from the Omega I had then. And now, 42mm is the small one…

The other way around. I normally use the 4th hole but had to make it tighter . I’ve got it on the 5th hole from the end of the strap and it’s fitting the same way as when I use the 4th hole on all my other Hermes’ bands.

Meh I lost my orange Hermes sport band moving. Tomorrow begins a challenge of finding an apple rep that knows how to let me buy a new one. Hopefully its under 5 reps this time
If it helps these are on eBay, including ones that fall off the back of a truck in Shenzhen: useful if, like me, you want the M/L piece for 38–42mm (came with gen 0 & 1 and then never again). Having just bought a new watch and got another one, I will be putting my own S/M 38–42mm on eBay when I get round to it.

It’s just synthetic fiber, yes you can wash it.
