Just FYI, George's accent is one of someone who has memorized lines. The same with Hiro and his friend. Hiro can speak japanese but is not native. The only person who had a native accent was Hiro's sister.
...

Thank you. I didn't mention his accent. After 30+ years of seeing him on the t.v., that was the first time I'd ever heard him speak Japanese. I figured it was just typical of most san sei that he couldn't do it at all.

nathan-mr. bennett conspiary?

i'm calling a conspiracy on mr. bennett and nathan petreilli.

let me explain. on another forum, we explained a theory in which claire, her mom and nathan survived the fire and had control of her powers, and it revolved around mr. bennett, as supposedly he can bring heroes into realizing their powers (matt, radiation man), and then controlling those powers (the hatian, eden). i speculated that nathan once worked for mr. bennett, exposing him to claire and her mom, thus activating their powers. one day, the mom goes out of control and puts the apartment on fire. nathan flies out of there and the mom escapes, assuming claire dies, but when in reality, she doesn't. mr. bennett somehow gets ahold of her (probably knew this would happen, fire may have been a setup to get claire and control her life). nathan is now out of the picture supposedly, but what if they have been in contact with each other all this time, and the reason why mr. bennett is going erase crazy on claire's friends and family is because they don't want her to know of what they are planning.

another factor is the difference in control between nathan and peter. peter until now, had no control over his powers, and nathan seems to have control over his flight. notice in the dream how he tells peter he'll help him control his powers? perhaps he's been in contact with mr. bennett recently. he knows what he's doing, in contrast to matt and peter. but you may ask, six months ago, he looked like he had no control of his flight. this could be either 1. he actually did not have any control, 2. his memory of his powers were erased, or 3. he actually did have control, and was posing to get rid of his wife because she got too close to the conspiracy. i'm going with 3. and what does his running for congress have to do with all of this? and what about the guy in vegas? nathan and mr. bennett are doing something...

ironically i was thinking about nathan's role in the show after last week's show, as he was more of a supporting character to peter, rather than a major player. i think he could be the anchor to the heroes, as he has connections to more characters than anyone else. hiro, nikki, peter, claire, mohinder, issac, and possibly mr. bennett. also, that means peter and claire are blood related, furthering their connection.

and on jessica...i was previously going to say that she had no connection to the rest of the heroes, but after a post here earlier saying that jessica could be pregnant with nathan's child, it could connect her to the rest of the plot. but i would like to know a little more about the whole jessica/nikki connection. and i did see that tattoo of jessica's in a previous episode, but really briefly. now we see it clearly, and relates her somehow to hiro's sword and the guy's genetics book. i think we finally have a connection with her.

and where's dl?

I'm wondering if Dr Who isn't a bad guy. He seems to be leading Peter in the wrong direction and was laughing in the vision before Peter blew up the city.

another great show this week.

jessica is still evil, but matt now read both of their minds. jessica broke the guy in half!!! i'm still convinced that jessica has powers and nikki has none. i think jessica was either a demon from the japanese story or something like that.

also, nathan "meets" claire, but didn't really recognize her as the cheerleader. thought he would. but jessica is after him now. but claire's mom has no memory at all. this should be a interesting development.

sylar is now teaming up with mohinder, this should be interesting.

nothing on peter this week though.

next week should be another good one.

It seemed much better this week.

I suppose we're going to find out that Linderman is the one trying to get rid of the mutants.

Agreed. Heroes actually answers questions is poses instead of posing more questions like Lost does.

The scene where Claire and her mother showed each other their powers gave me chills. Great acting.

do you speak japanese? I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, i only ask cause there's a video clip of John Mayer saying something to Ryan Seacrest in Japanese, and I'd like to know what it says.

Back to the topic though... I love this show, have you guys seen the graphic novels on the NBC website? http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/

They explain a lot of things that we may have missed or that they don't show.

i took it that he most certainly DID recognize her, and that's why he pauses so long before claire's mom asks if she "spoke out of turn"... which was weird on its own. hah

good show for sure. what is sylar's aim? just to gather all the various powers? i'm really curious about the haitian man the most... he seems to have a very capable power, and seems to be close to the bad guy (bennett) but yet allows claire to keep her memory... hmm

I think Bennet works for Linderman who is working on collecting a team of useful people.

Peter did recognize her as the cheerleader from the paintings.

Sylar, I think, is trying to get all the powers he can to become god-like.

The Haitians power seems to be memory erasure. I think he blocks powers by keeping people from remembering how to use them

i think the hatian made a deal with claire at the end of the fall shows to keep her memory. go back to the end of show 11 on the nbc site if you forgot it or missed this.

the first part seems to be a good theory on the bennett-linderman part. does mr. bennett know that nathan is claire's real father? claire said to mr. bennett to say he's not his real father in disgust when grounded.

and you mean nathan, peter wasn't in this episode. let's see if nathan tells peter that claire is his niece.

that's interesting. possibly. i doubt he's working for someone.

the hatian being used to block powers as well as memories? possibly why matt has hardly any control of his mind reading.

Wow, I'm excited that this thread has finally taken off in my absence! I’ve been super busy at rehearsals 6 days a week. My school is putting on its spring musical "Urinetown." I don’t know if any of you are familiar with the play, but I wont go into it here!

Man I gotta say, good for Matt for keeping the diamonds. Pardon my French, but he takes too much **** from people. Also, I don’t know who said it before me, but I agree, nikki/jessica/ali larter is getting so much hotter every episode. I saw her in that tight lil' tank top and said hot damn!

So I had a few things that I LOVED. Peter Petrelli finally learned to semi control his powers! I thought his little taste of super powers was pretty badass. And how about that invisible man? At first I thought he was a d*ck but he’s grown on me. Ugh, CLAIRE!! I just wanted her to bust into that trailer and say DAD! Its me, your brother saved me! And then more heroes would be connected.

Finally, we all saw that Sylar killed that one guy for his powers. I’m confused. So I saw that he can melt different things, but where do you guys see this power coming in useful in the end?

YATAHHHHHHHHH I LOVE NEW YORK!!!! -Hiro :-D

yeah, that's what i said about the haitian allowing claire to keep her memory. the question is, why would he do that if he's working for bennett?

and yes, he most certainly blocks powers, that much is clear.

Interestingly enough, I got hooked on this show while watching the pilot episode on a flight to Baltimore or something. They ended up shutting down the video before it was over, so I went to the hotel and downloaded it from iTunes. Ended up downloading shows 1-11 (Part 1, as it turned out) and watched them all over the course of the week before the start of Part 2. Which was nice for me, and I was definitely hooked.

the symbol on Hiro's sword is the same at Nikki/Jessica's tatoo on her shoulder blade- although they've only shown it on her when she's Jessica I think........it's gotta mean something later...........I wouldn't be suprised if it happen to be on Claire's new necklace either
As a note - you could see this same symbol running through Dr. Suresh's data.

Picture 1.png

and jessica/nikki seems to have almost nothing to add to the storyline. i would like to see a connection between the family and the rest very soon, otherwise she's almost like another kim bauer.
Well, she did sleep with Nathan.

Best show on television right now. And the Jessica/Nikki character is getting hotter every episode.
It was interesting in this last episode that they actually showed both together without there being a mirror.

Well it looks like he can melt metals now. So it'll make it easy for him to break in places (melt doorknobs, vault doors, etc...). With his power to move objects he can melt something into a molten orbit and throw it. Lots of different options.

I don't think it's just metals, based on seeing the largely plastic phone half-melted, and the toaster is not completely metal either.

I think somehow he breaks down the material bonds so that the object essentially dissolves. I would guess this would work with people, too.

So my question is - what does he do with the brains? Eat them?

And essentially, Peter has the same ability to "acquire" other people's powers, but he doesn't have to kill them to do it. If Peter hangs out with Sylar, does Peter get ALL of Sylar's accumulated abilities as well? That would be interesting.

What about the flip side, if Sylar acquires Peter's ability will he/can he stop killing people to get the powers?

Oh- that's just too creepy a thought. Eek!

It could be the key to defeating Sylar. Since Peter has to "remember" to utilize someone else's power if Sylar were to take Peter's power it may force him to remember his victims causing a mental breakdown leading to Sylar destroying himself.

Of course we know it won't happen anytime soon since Peter doesn't have his scar yet.

Hah wow. Ive been thinking the same thing for the past few weeks. Essentially, yes, peter would acquire ALL of Sylars powers, thus making him way more powerful that Sylar. It will be weird though. In order to use all of those powers, he will have to remember how Sylar made him feel. right?

I dont think Syalr could ever beat peter. Think about it. He can regenerate, fly, be INVISIBLE...paint the future, go back/foward/stop time!! Because remember, he was with Hiro in one episode.. It was when future Hiro (who spoke perfect english, and who had the sword) came back and told Perter save the cheerleader, save the world.

Oh before i end, what do you all think about the commercial for mondays episode "One will fly, one will die." Woo, its gettin even better!
