Disney and accessory maker HEX have teamed up to release official Star Wars cases for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X, ahead of the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on December 15.

The genuine leather cases are debossed with Star Wars art and iconic characters such as Darth Vader, R2-D2, and stormtroopers, with styles including snap-on cases, folio wallets, and zipper wallets with slots for cards, IDs, and cash.

The cases are available now on HEX's website and at select retailers for between $49.95 and $69.95 each in the United States.

What garbage! I was excited to see these until I realised they offer zero button protection so leave large portions of the phone unprotected. For this amount of money, I expect something much better.

None of the characters of the new movies are represented here, what the hell man.

No Rey, no BB-8, not General Leia, no Phasma, no Finn, no Kylo...even the troopers aren't First Order.

Pretty cool. But dear lord those sewn on logo patches with the brand and lot number and such are absolutely hideous. Ruins the whole case. Takes something fairly desirable and makes it a no buy.

While I don't disagree, I think that's part of their brand. Looks like all of their cases are like that.

I don't think it's from the same company, but my son got one from Disney Studios. It's the original Star Wars movie poster done in layers so it's 3D to some point and has his name printed on it in the in-universe language. It's really nice looking and doesn't have anything extra like that big ol' Hex company logo.

These...are ugly to me.

While the embossed designs don't suck, for the price I would expect the top and bottom of the phone to at least be covered and buttons protected as well. Hell, a $2 case from AliExpress will protected better than these. This is pure vanity with low function.

Love Star Wars, but to take beautiful tech like the current line up of phones and stick it in those ugly pieces of plastic is a travesty.

I love Star Wars but this is rubbish, in my opinion.
Agreed. These cases are nothing more than a bulky case with Star Wars characters embossed on it.

I want a case that looks like something Darth Vader or Stormtrooper would carry, with minimal bulk.

These look way more bulky than the OEM leather case. If they were the same as the OEM case with the debossed design, I would have been all in.

It looks pretty great. I will make sure to order several for my beloved family on alibaba. I am sure I can get 4 of them for 20 bucks or so :D

My iPhone X is in a teal OtterBox Defender right this moment. Sometimes it’s in a silicone case shaped like a cat. I’m not in a position to point and laugh at anything. :p

Why does everyone seem to think that wearing or carrying a piece of a dead animal around is "luxury?"
I wear fur and down. I’m also in artic areas a lot. It’s a necessity. There is no synthetic equivalent.
[doublepost=1512193002][/doublepost]I’ll stick with my $8.99 Spigen from Amazon, I’m not that foolish to spend $50 on a case.

Because all of the new characters suck compared to the old ones. Wonder girl super Jedi with no training or emotions, worse than useless Phasma who is directly responsible for Death Star 3 getting blown up, worthless schizo coward Finn, emo hipster Darth Vader wannabe who gets his ass kicked by aforementioned girl. BB-8 is mildly amusing, but just a soccer ball R2. Don't get me started on Rastafarian koala Yoda-thing.
