I've just jailbroken my ip4 in the last few days and it's brought it back to life again. So many different things you can do. There is literally thousands of things on the Cydia store you can apply to your phone.

If you're bored of iOS, you must be using the iPhone more as a toy than as a tool. A proper tool is familiar and doesn't get in the way of the work.

Yes, I am bored with iOS in the same way that my car is boring for having a steering wheel.

I'm not looking to change either design anytime soon.

Hi! Everyone!

I has been using iPhone since 2007, and now I am using iPhone 4. From 2007 to 2011, I could say the UI of iOS has never been changed so much. I'm very bored with iOS already. Anyone have the same feeling!?

I'm sorry. Buy an Android Phone.

Anyway, in all seriousness, and if it persists for the next two years(allowing the same time to have passed as the OP), I might feel the same way. As for now, I have no qualms about the UI. In fact, I catch myself staring at all, smiling at its simplicity and ease of use while also wondering at its complexity of code used to dive all those beautiful pixels across my screen. In the palm of my hand lies a small computer that is easily replacing my general use computer. My iPad is also doing this for me, and between the two I am only ever on my home computer to either print something(fault of not having a new HP printer), or to delve into the world of PC gaming, which isn't very often these days, working full time and all.

iOS just works. It's user interface is so simple and easy to learn that iOS devices can be used by practically anyone. My 5 year old cousin knows how to use her dad's iPod touch. My 87-year-old grandmother was so excited to see the release of OS X Lion, which melds the best of OS X and iOS. Between all of this, Apple has made a brilliant ecosystem that delivers to its customers time and time again.

...and some of you want to change that?

Anyone have the same feeling!?

Yep.

And if the iPhone 5 really does have the same form factor as the iPhone 4, I very much doubt I'll buy it. I'll probably duck-out of iPhones for a couple of years and try something new.

I am not at all bored with it. If you are, try jailbreaking and installing various UI tweaks.

It is just a cosmetic feature. People are still using Windows XP and are not bored with it. Like any computer whether a PC or Mac, you tap into one of the icons and it launches an app. How is a mobile OS really any different than a desktop one? The point of these devices is for productivity or entertainment.

Jailbreaking can be your best friend. Even then, you will get bored of it just like if Apple gave us an official refresh. Who knows what a resource hog it will be? You will get bored of anything if you happen to stare at it everyday for the last four years. I gotta a Palm Pixi Plus (AT&T model) for $60 brand new off Craigslist that is keeping me entertained as a backup phone. Really solid phone for the price even though it lags. You do sometimes appreciate iOS more, but at the same time, I also like the many ideas that had Palm had with webOS including the very unobtrusive notification system. If you have a disposable income, try collecting different smartphones. Variety is the spice of life.

Saying you're bored with the iPhone just because of it's interface is like saying you're bored with a supercar because of it's speed and looks. Apple's UI is the best. switch to Android for a few months, and you'll see.

I know what you're thinking...maybe Android. I've had an Android phone since November and it's already boring. Eventually it all will get boring. The best thing you can do is jailbreak and play with themes.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

If you're bored of iOS, you must be using the iPhone more as a toy than as a tool. A proper tool is familiar and doesn't get in the way of the work.

I'm curious as to what % of apps available are GAMES? And doesn't :apple: tout the iPhone as the most widely used GAMING platform on the planet?

Yes, it is a tool. For communicating with people, for managing reminders/appointments, for banking etc etc. But it is ALSO a toy, that can't be disputed.

To me, yes, it's become boring. But I'd be happy if :apple: would just allow the user to arrange the app icons how they see fit...and maybe even resize them (perhaps be able to choose small/med/large icons in the settings). Like one poster said, they FINALLY allowed users to have a wallpaper...but it's still mostly covered up with apps.

I just wish there was someway to open my iPhone to a blank home screen so that I can see the wallpaper! Without jailbreaking..

All I want is a phone that "does not" have checkerboards when surfing, slow response when clicking and "does" have a larger screen and better camera.

There is. In iTunes, move a blank page to be your first page, then move an app from your dock to the blank page. Sync like this, and then move the icon back to the dock (on your phone, not through iTunes).

No i'm not bored of it and you know why ?Because i get used to it after 2 years of use.it's easy to use.And i have seen many changes.Look the iOS 5.it'll have notification center and many new functionalities. What else?Do you prefer other OSes that they change everthing all the time and you have to get used to it ?Anyway jailbreak also make it easier and change it alot

Yes. Very bored.

Jailbreaking helps a lot. I'm patiently waiting for the new iPhone but at the same time, keeping an eye on what other manufacturers are releasing with android os.

It's the same UI that they designed to do nothing more than launch one of 13 original apps.

I don't believe that to be true but if it is then I'm even more impressed with iOS that gracefully handles folks with 150 apps on their phones. I'm not looking to joing the UI of the month club and appreciate iOS' consistency. The less changes the better. Of course I'm still bitter about losing the double home key to get favories. :D

I have said this before, you need to switch to an android device, then after a few months decide you want your iPhone back.

I did this, there are some great things about the android UI that I appreciate. unfortunately all the android hardware manufacturers apparently don't know how to make a battery that can charge in <8 hours or provide more than a 4 hour charge.... some things are more important than UI.

i'm starting to miss apple hardware standards...

As long as it keeps working flawlessly, and looks well polished (which is has since it's release), then I am happy.

I want a phone that works. Not a phone that looks pretty. It just so happens, iOS accomplishes both.

I'm starting to feel bored with my jailbreak. I'm really thinking of going back to stock iOS and wait for iOS 5.

The iOS UI is not bad at all, it's fresh and well designed. Having used android and blackberry OS 4, 5, and 6 previously I must say...you can't get much better than this.

I can't go back to the stock iOS ever! For example just look at how much more nicer it looks when you install some themes and the ability to put as many apps in a folder as you like :)
