Anyone else doing this?
I ordered my 6+ through att around 3am on release night. I got a 2-3 week delivery time.
I started getting paranoid because it is att so I ordered another one through Apple, when the store finally came up. I figured 2 orders are better than one.
but since I want a phone on release day, today I ordered a 6 through sprint (the only model still guaranteeing 9/19 delivery). This will be new service with new number. I plan to play with it for 13 days and then return it.
Hopefully my 6+ will only be a few days away after that.
yes I think I have a problem

PS I've Had an iPhone since the beginning but switched to the Note3 last September. I ready to come back :0

Bit sad. The iPhone 6 will be no different to play with than the 5S, it will just have a bigger screen. Why waste everyone's time and unbox a phone that will end up becoming a refurb?

I'm just a bit shocked by how many adults around here simply can't wait for their iPhone and order multiple phones just to get something on 9/19 or ASAP.

Would I like to have one on the 19th? Sure, but I'm going to be patient and see which I like better after holding both in hand at the store. It's just a phone and not a life altering moment for God sakes

Good Lord it's like a 9 year old on Christmas/Hanukkah morning :p

And all those unnecessary purchases cause more delays for the folks patiently waiting for the one they ordered

I'm getting my iP6 on 9/19 and am debating if I should wait until the second or third run to minimize risk of production issues.

you people should not be ordering 3 phones for yourself from different places just to make sure you get one. That's not fair for the rest of us. After all it is just a phone and though the excitement is high right now, in a few weeks you will be used to the newness and therefore it will just be just another iPhone.I don't understand why you folks are panicking so much if your phone is not going to be delivered on the 19th. Are you guys just trying to show off and show people that you upgraded and got your phone before others do?

You do have a problem. This is the first year I have to wait as well I always get a phone on launch but this year I have to wait 7-10 days for my plus to come in. In previous years I would cancel and wait in line or settle on a model I didn't want just to get a phone on launch day. Like last year I settled on space grey when I wanted silver because silver was sold out.....This year I am just sticking with my pre order....maybe I am mellowing with age haha.

Meh

Nothing wrong at all what your doing if you're ok with it. Do what makes you happy. It's nobody's business but your own. Is it Abby Normal? Who knows.

Oh right, come here and ask all the normal people if it's ok. LOL . Tell you what. You find me a normal person here and I will buy you phone #4.

Man up.

You would therefore be in the center lane on the highway toll and I would be in the far left lane, going through Easy Pass.

Now I understand *how* Apple was able to break the record 4 million pre-order sales in first 24 hours

Heh, nah they probably would have still sold 4 million. It's just that people who gave up due to November ship dates would have preordered. lol
