be really nice if folders switched from blue to grey when using the graphite appearance.

also, the recent items menu should be activated with the option key like the library in the go menu - many times i've sat here and watched the beachball while the system decides what recent items need to be shown after accidentally stopping on while accessing the apple menu. (this would also be good for the 'open with' menu)

So you can have two pins at once? A 4 digit and a 5 digit one?
I don't know if this was a sarcastic comment or grammatically questioning my use of "too", but no you can't double passcode your phone. I'm just saying you can choose the numerical value for your passcode length.

I have always hated the Beach Ball. I wish Apple would've just changed it by now. What is this fascination they have with the Beach Ball. I liked when we had the StopWatch. Something about it didn't give the impression that the system has given up or slow like the BeachBall does.

Wow! I can't wait for both operating system! And I love how they used the new MacBook. :)

I'm excited for the lowercase keyboard, export to iBooks from Safari, and the pictures in the Messages app!

I'm just looking forward to El Capitan in general!

The new OS X theme is great, for puking rainbows. Why did Apple turn OS X into the visual train wreck that was iOS 7 ?

I can't agree with shifting keyboard uppercase/lowercase characters, I'm supposed to be typing, not adjusting to a different interface at each keypress !! Bring back Scott Forstall fast, to keep the boat afloat.

Everything else seems great tho.

Ain't that right. People said we'd get used to it, but I still despise the colour scheme. Been toying with switching, but the darn eco-system lock-in dependancies makes me put up with the visuals. OTOH we spend more time inside apps than on the ugly springboard, so functionality over looks.

In time, this flat-candy-colour fad will fade. Literally, I bet the next step in design will be to remove colour and express everything in 50 shades of grey :)

Will the pointer get larger when I am playing games? I can imagine that I am out shooting a bunch of zombies and suddenly the pointer gets bigger and Bigger and BIGGER!

Finally, disk utility gets some love. The UI has been so bad, that I'm always nervous using it-- for such a critical interface, I never trust that it's doing what I think it's doing. I hope the update is clean and clear.

Agreed. Though in a way it's funny that these are the things we're picking up on. Remember when an iPhone couldn't even record video without jailbreaking? :D

If I understand what you're talking about, I think you're using it wrong. Instead of trying to tap the exact letter, quickly tap and hold on that letter column and slide your finger down or up utill you get to what you're looking for. The content will scroll as you move your finger. After a few times, it'll feel natural.

I fear you may have quoted the completely wrong post, my friend.

Too true.

I don't want a lower-case keyboard. Bring back the iOS 6 shift key, please.
It's either off or on (with a way to lock it in the on position)--each one has a specific way of identifying it. Seems fairly straightforward.
I've wanted rotation lock on the iPhone for so so so long!
It should be there in Control Center.
"dictionary attack" = easy!
That's why the device starts locking you out for longer and longer periods of time after 5 or so attempts with the wrong passcode.

You dont get it. There is a possibility to decrypt content of the disk.
I am not talking about getting access to iOS.

4 digits pin is to weak to protect your data. Period.

And yet even with all kinds of tech news sites that sensationalize all kinds of things somehow we haven't heard of some sort of security breaches and data being stolen through something like that.

Am I the only one that would rather have accurate colors?
Depends on time of day and circumstances. Sometimes the mind prefers a different lighting.
