high ebay fees + bad rules, are there alternatives???

the only way ebay could ever work is if they played intermediary. Offer an option where they receive the package, verify content and working condition and then ship it to buyer.

I thought I read about something like that at one point in time...don't remember what though.

For music equipment and computers there's a cool new site called GearGoblin.com that looks really promising.

I'll check it. I realize that Ebay is the gorilla in the online auction department. I'm looking for good alternatives if there are any...

A woman who never bought anything from me, ever, was able to leave me negative feedback and ther's nothing I can do about it. 😡 and she defaulted on the item she bid on. Sellers can't feedback about her. What a crock. Makes a person wonder what the h**l is going on here. Where's the justice?

That is total ******** and evidence of the buyer preference that exists at Ebay. However I don't understand how she would have the opportunity to leave feedback if she had not bought something from you?

does this occur with video evidence sent to the buyer and ebay?

i had one of these situations as prevailed due to video evidence that the item was working, was what i described it as, and shipped with correct packaging.

one should not have to do this but it is what it is. people do what they can to game every system to their advantage.

maybe ebay went down the road of protecting the buyer because ebay was losing money?

I'm no expert on Ebay policy, but it seems they have tilted completely toward buyers. What would happen if the buyer said, "but the computer you described is not what I pulled out of the box" and it just so happens the buyer has a different lesser computer to send pictures to Ebay and even return to seller, while keeping the newer computer for himself? Now we are into the realm of police investigations, not Ebay... 😉
