Wasn’t stressed, probably should’ve been :D

I'm a sophomore.... It's very stressful. Insane amount of **** to do every day... And every second of the day is hell on earth.

Yeah, there was stress, but nothing what its like compared to college and working for a living.

high school means 0

Not true. High school is a stepping stone. Fair or not, you are judged by your grades for future opportunities at least that is how I seeit in the States.

It was only 40 years ago, but I took a full academic schedule without undo stress. I might temper that statement with the understanding that today, the competition for good grades among those who want to exceed might be more fierce.

is a 3.0 gpa good? Also i have really high B's like in HL BIO i have a 87, so would my gpa be higher than a 3.0?

Grades plus extra valued activities is what gets you into the desired college. Once there, it's a clean slate.

I got a 2.17 in High school, but I was still was able to graduate from Berkeley

Your gpa would be higher than 3.0, but only a little bit. depends on how much the class was worth. 3.0 as a high school gpa isn't that good honestly, but luckily once you graduate, high school grades don't matter at all

In my experience, college grades don't matter after college, either. Maybe if you majored in law.

Even then it can me relatively little and easy wiped by 2 years at a community college to get the core out of the way.

Over all high school means little as long as you get your diploma.

Honestly I call it average at best. Call me heartless but that whst it is. In high school I had an 85 GPA. I was pretty much dead center in class rank. To be exact 3 from dead center.

But its not that bad right?

Like can i get into a good college with a 3.3 gpa and taking HL courses and possibly IB courses? I do a lot of activities and community services

you can easily get into a good college as long as you have a high school diploma. Now it may not be your top choice but top choice and good college are 2 very different thing.

In the real world where you degree comes from does not matter that much just you have a degree. There are only a handful of schools that it can matter (Ivy league here) and even then it will depend on the job. The most important fact is you have a degree.

Here are the requirements for a college degree and a job.

1). do you have a degree.
2). Is the degree from an accredited school.
3). Depending the job what is your degree in.
4). And very VERY distant 4th and only matters on job 1 a little bit. What is your GPA and does it meet there min requirement. After that does not matter. Oh and this can easily be gotten around because once you get the interview it does not matter.

Welcome to the real world where we do not care where you went to school, what your GPA is ect. It more do you fill in these check boxes for an interview.

What do you mean........

If your posts here are any indication, you don't seem to have the best grasp of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax. I understand not everyone is careful when composing posts on a message board, so you could easily be more competent than you appear.

That's not meant to be mean; it's just something you should consider if you want to get into a "good college."
