Does not fix mine.
i think it does, it does show all the emails linked to the icloud account, you can have 1 phone number and as many emails as you wantIf I have my phone only accessible via my phone number, can I still access Messages on my Mac? I had thought this worked before on 10.3 + 10.12, but now it doesn't work on 11 + 10.13.
Sorry, had this happen to me - just saw your thread. I suspect it's a race condition when you have some Mac's running Sierra and some running High Sierra with the same iCloud account - it can mess up the credentials.
Presuming you have 2FA enabled (everyone should) - go to the appleID page: https://appleid.apple.com/
You're going to need to sign all (well, all but one initially) out of iCloud and remove them from your list of devices on the appleID page. You leave the one authorized / signed in, so it can authorize your 2FA. Once you've cycled through all but one, then do the same with that last device.
Note: iCloud may make you change your AppleID password (yes, I know, onerous) - it did with me (so it obviously knew something was out of sync).
Now that you fixed your iCloud credentials, just make sure that all of your iMessage setups are using your AppleID as well as your cell number (with your cell selected as start new conversations from).
Ok, so iMessage is working fine on your iPhone, but just not your Mac? (you have just two devices that you're using it on?) Are both of them on the latest code versions? (MacOS 10.13.1, iOS 11.1)Thanks! I deleted my Mac from the appleID link you sent an then I got a verification code, and a message that said my iMessage was working on both computer and phone, but it still won't send. Is there another setting I missed (all preferences in iMessage are correct). Thanks!![]()
I restarted the computer and it works now! Yay! Really appreciate your info on logging out and relogging back in!Ok, so iMessage is working fine on your iPhone, but just not your Mac? You may need to log your Mac out of iCloud, then back in again if that's the case. You may have to log back into FaceTime manually on the Mac as well (sometimes that doesn't get re-logged-into by default). Double-check messages is as well.
10.13.2 breaks my Messages, but only breaks the emoji, all showing a "?" inside a box, but not the emoji. However, this bug only exist on the Messages dialog box. Even the message preview (on the contact list side) can show the emoji properly.

go figure my imessage + facetime suddenly worked again after the 10.13.2 update, so happy I didn’t have to sit on phone forever to prob get no where...
did you update your iphone too? that ? in box is giving me flashbacks of the having to change the i problem on so many peoples phones that they finally fixed
if you are updated to latest IOS on iphone, try toggling imessage on/off then go to mac and shut down and restart and see if they appear....
