I did read the first post, and I'm saying that the case can reach 180 degrees Fahrenheit, not sure about the other components though.

Obviously, the other components would have been removed before galvanizing. You might want to read the post again.
 
Put some mercury on aluminum if you want to see it rust the way you're imagining "rust."
 
lets just hope no one uses mercury around a MBP and when we do make it to mars, they will have a case for the 2027 mbp's to be used in that great atmosphere.

Pretty sure that if the OP galvanized his MBP case, it's either just for looks or he/she is more concerned about rust caused by humidity or something of that nature, and not the use of mercury on aluminum.
