I used to be so pro case and screen protectors that I would spend more on them than I did on the phone. Now I think cases and screen protectors are so unattractive and I'll never use them again. The iPhone looks too beautiful to cover up.

I have kept some of my Apple products in cases, but sooner or later, they'd end up naked! Seriously, a case never really stays on for more than a month on my Apple products. I like it at first, but then I realize how beautiful the phone is. If you think about it, you buy a 650-850 dollar phone, then cover it up with a cheap case?! Look at the details of your iPhone. Look at the chamfered edge, look at the etched "+" and "-" on the volume buttons, and even the buttons have a little chamfered edge!!!. Serious thought went into that design. Sure you're going to get wear and tear on the edges and maybe a few scratches, but IMO, it adds a little character.

Had mine in a case after I dropped it onto my tiled kitchen floor and took a chunk out of the corner. Figured that was my warning before it went face down and smashed the screen. I understand having it naked, but I am too clumsy.... The odd scratch doesn't bother me, its the inconvenience of smashing the screen and getting it repaired. Funny I didn't have a case for any of my android phones, and my SGS2 in particular was dropped numerous times!

I have in the past.. was going to go "naked" with the iPhone 6 but the (possible) protruding camera has me thinking I might NEED to stay in the case.

:apple:
Yep, if true I'm thinking a case will be a must have. I'll personally be looking for a clear or slightly frosted case, with a minor colored accent. Red most likely.

Its mostly in a case, though right now its naked. I also use ghost armor so I'm a little more relaxed about it being out of the case.

With the 5C, I like the color of the phone to come through and not be hidden by the case, but by the same token, the case does offer a lot of protection.

Yes. Caudabe Veil. All the benefits of going naked and scratch protection to boot. Also feels good in the hand.

I don't use a screen protector though.

I find case protection use has heavily dependent on what type of work you do. Ex. In construction everyone uses one as an obvious protection from the dangers of the job.

Personally, I like mine naked. It's lighter, and feels a lot better.

2 of them actually... One very thin black plastic minimal case and the other is on my belt. Yea, I know I won't get picked up at the bar, but I'm 64, happily married and don't need bars.

Naked with a tempered glass screen protector

I am tempted to try a tempered glass screen protector. I don't use or like the feel of regular screen protectors, not even the expensive ones. Do you recommend it? Does it feel any different than the naked screen? I keep my phone in a wallet case and have never scratch the screen ever, but sometimes with my keys and my phone in the same hand the keys will bang against the glass. There's always a chance that I might scratch it one day.

I hate plastic screen protectors as well, but I really like tempered glass ones. Pretty much feels like a naked screen, doesn't distort image at all, and touch sensitivity is exactly the same. The only thing for me that took time getting used to was how the glass screen protectors (since they're significantly thicker than plastic ones) recess the home button, but after a few days I stopped noticing that. Mine tend to chip around the edges a bit since I don't use a case with my phone, but seeing as your phone is in a wallet case, you should have no problem with wear and tear.

I'm beyond picky with cases, can't stand bulky ones so I end up going naked half the time.

I'm a sucker for a cheap plastic case though....thanks a lot amazon:(

thank you for the info. I may give it a shot. the thicker comment bothers me.
I may research this for my iPad rMin which I keep completely naked and take with me everywhere. I take notes on it a couple of times per month.

The thickness is something you get used to fairly quickly IMO. Especially on a device you use so frequently (your phone). For example, Spigen's thinnest glass protector is 0.23mm thick. That's incredibly thin for a sheet of glass but not paper thin like a plastic protector.

I would take a picture of how thick it is, but I'm at school and my camera is halfway across the country at home. The only "camera" I use at school is my iPhone. You could probably find pictures via a google search to better form an opinion.
