Your very wrong about that.

That and probably also that the PCPs are not overeager to prescribe anti-depressants to every Tom, Dick, and Harry that walks in

That was exactly what I was thinking.

So the real victims would probably be those who end up paying for and buying these units through eBay and Craigslist or whatever other means are being used these days. Best Buy would probably gets its money through the insurance company, but the poor John or Jane Smith who buys these and takes them into get serviced in the near/distant future will have their systems confiscated.

Hence the take home message: always ask for the serial number of the unit you are purchasing through eBay or Craigslist and call Apple to verify whether its stolen, etc.

Also, if you see any listings on eBay that says "Free prescription antidepressants with MacBook Pro purchase", don't buy it!

They actually name unidentified people John or Jane DOE. But I see where you were going with the Smith.

When i read this its shocked and the same hillarious to follow.

In Australia, robbing the chemist has never happen, coz we all have free healthcare (accept u a big earner). In the US probably big things but in another perspective for $70mil worth of drug/med.... the robbers have to move it faster than the expiry date...

cheers

True, but that is usually once they get to the morgue! I just chose Smith because its the most common last name in the US :). But your point is well taken.

Here its not really the healthcare issue...many psychiatric drugs like benzos and amphetamines are very addictive and thus become drugs of abuse. Hence the black market for them...
