This might not be for iPad.

Aren't the current rumors that apple is releasing 2 sizes of iPhone and a watch? Plus the 6C.

There are at least 4 new devices that could incorporate Touch ID and none of them are an iPad.

Lets see other other devices can we get Touch ID for ...

How about the Macbook/Pro lines ?

Why not..... Apple saw the light of Touch ID being added to iPad's *finally*. they may as well continue this trend..

They can also use the same term "If will make out laptop's more secure, because a passwords not good enough" :)

works for me.

Will anyone actually going to upgrade from iPad Air to iPad Air 2 just for TouchID? The current iPad Air and iPad mini are fast enough for next two or three year. I personally won't upgrade just because of TouchID..Apple need to bring something really different to the tablet to lure iPad Air user to upgrade

I don't think iPads are meant to be upgraded every generation. It's ok to skip one or two.

That said, the lack of Touch ID was the main reason why I did not upgrade my iPad 4. When the next iPad Air will have Touch ID and, I very much hope, more RAM, I'll definitely upgrade.

Me too, when I first got the 5S. But IOS 7.1 since fixed that issue for me.

*I also scanned the main digit I use twice in different positions, so that probably helps.

7.1 did make it more accurate, but I'm still having issues - just not as often. Funny thing is, going to my iPad mini w/o T-ID feels awkward.
