/speaking from experience.

I've sold many iPhones on ebay, that have all been used at least 1 year for more than I paid. Starting bid was $0.01.

Find an auction with a low starting bid and watch it. I guarantee you it will sell for at least the price that Apple is selling brand new watches for..likely much more.

Just my luck. The ONE day that UPS comes early is the ONE day my wife leaves the house!!!

I have school tonight until around 9 and it takes me an hour an a half to get from work to school, so if they don't attempt another delivery today, I have to wait until tomorrow.

The website claims they are going to try a second attempt TOMORROW!

The other poster (forgive me for not checking), may have had a more lucrative watch model. 38 blue is pretty common and is only selling for about 475-550 on the Seattle CL.

Your other option is to open a seller account on Amazon and send it to them for fulfillment. I've had a lot more luck selling my used Apple stuff on Amazon than I have had on eBay or CL. Much cleaner fulfillment too.

It was a 42mm SS Milanese. sold for $1200

s'why I sold mine on Ebay. Didnt really mean too. I posted it with what I thought was an outragous price, but it sold in like 2 hours. Shoulda held out for more. (I didnt calculate ebay fees into it)
But now Ill wait and get a SB Link braclet that Ill love a lot more.

Good for you. I would never feel comfortable selling something expensive on eBay after hearing stories of buyer filing a claim that the seller shipped an empty box, and got all his/her money back. Seller left with the returned empty box which he/she paid shipping both ways. Good luck to you.

one of the many reasons I was very reluctant to actually send it off.
:(

Yet the previous poster said he listed it for an 'outrageous' amount and his sold. Clearly he was doing it wrong.

No way am I starting the bidding at .01 and take a chance of giving it away. I'd return it first.

I haven't had any luck with reserve prices. Whenever I set one, no one bids.

Here. here . . . I never bid on items (on eBay) with a reserve price.
I prefer a full disclosure as opposed to hiding information until you place a bid.
Seems like a shyster move to me.

Yep eBay has changed over the years.
More like Flea Bay

Just checked my local CL out of curiosity, only 1 Apple Watch posted, 38 Sport with a green band. Ad says will receive it today and the box will be unopened.

I ordered a 38 MM Milanese SS and realized it was too small. I sold it on CL. We met in my town, in front of a bank. I saw them withdraw the cash, and handed them the unopened watch. Easy peasy, and I made enough to make a serious dent in my 42 mm SS, which should be here some time during my lifetime, fingers crossed.
