that mindset is irritating

just because i have nothing to hide doesnt mean i dont see the value of it

you could say the same thing about privacy in general.

Problem with using the easily tracked credit card system, and what excites governments is that your credit card info in pseudo-public information.

Cull the databases like California is doing, and you know if people are living in California long enough to be a resident (when they say they are "vacationing") , are buying enough out-of-state products and avoiding the "use tax", or have a "lifestyle" above their claimed taxes and should be audited.

Plus, you get your ass in the news and the reporters know everywhere you have been for the last couple weeks by you credit footprint.

A great change holder is having another cup-holder in your car. Here is a picture from my car. It has two cup holders as well as a spot in the middle for change. It get really narrow so it can fit between the seat and the center console. It fits even when you have people sitting in that seat. When I'm not using mine, I just put it in the pocket on the back of the passenger seat -

I picked up a newer one that is black about a year ago - here it is where it sits most of the time -

My ashtray is really small, it wouldn't be able to hold the regular amount of change I normally carry in the car.

How much change do you carrier in your car because It sounds more like you have entire another problem if you have that much change. It should be cleaned out time to time.

On my car it has a dedicated tray in it that i can pull down near on the drivers side. Hell I think it even has a label on it call change tray. I tend to toss all my spare change in there. At some point I have to clean it out. I learn then after I had maybe a good 3-4 dollars worth of pennies in it that had build up over the years. Now I every now and then I go though and take out most of the non silver coins and move them to a big cup I have in my apartment. When that gets full I will just roll the coins and take it the bank

I use online banking to track spending, how much money I have, etc. Also you get in and out of the store much faster if you have stubby fingers to count cash.

I have around $10 in change. Right now I have probably like $5-6 in there because I can't fit anymore.

why so much. I see no reason to carry more than 2-3 bucks worth. I think your larger problem is how much you are carriering

In Chicago, where we have some meters that are 25 cents for 5 minutes.....you need a lot of quarters. I, personally, was carrying tons of quarters because of the meters. That's one reason why the parking mafia is aiding their extortion of us my putting in parking pay machines everywhere, now.

My car has a dedicated slot for coins. In my previous car, I kept a coin holder inside my center arm rest. Coin holders are the most organized way to go.

Well that answer the question why you need so many quarters. in my car I try to only keep silver coins for meters only.
