Just a quick harmless thread to find out if I’m not the only one that sometimes holds the iPhone X upside down either when pulling it out my pocket or lifting it up from somewhere without looking.

It turns out that home button was useful in other areas too!

Nope, top and bottom of case is different.

Button orientations to the top.

Speaker holes and ports on the bottom.

Lots of physical differentiators. For me it's mostly the buttons I feel first.

Perhaps for you. The whole home button is a personal issue.

Lots of other options. Apple released 2 alternatives in the fall with a home button. Also Android.

If you are buying an iPhone, you very likely didn't like what Android had to show. Also, like I said, it's a personal preference.

Perhaps that was something the OP did to know. Perhaps you don't.

When I get my phone out in the dark, I find myself tapping on the back glass and wondering why it won’t turn on.

Yeah I have done that before lol.

Yeah, I do that from time to time and wonder why it doesn't wake up. Silly me, but it's funny in the moment.

Hello... I'm Jay, I'm an upside-down-aholic.

I do it all the time. I think those who have an easy time identify it have an apple case with an open bottom. I have always hated that Apple removed the bottom protection, so I have a spigen case, very thin, with the clear back.

The trick I use (which I still forget every once in a while), is to feel for the side buttons, they should be on the top in your hand. This trick will not work for the back to front issue in the dark, I do have this happen too.

I do this, too. I sort of wish that the phone would recognize that, still scan my face, and unlock the phone with everything rotated to the right orientation.
