I cant believe it! And my birthday isnt until the 27th!! Here is the story:

I get off work and I guess she had just bought it - I was home for about 20 minutes and she just couldn't contain herself any longer (shes not the best with holding surprises), she gives me the wrapped Touch. I'm totally stoked and couldn't believe it. I plug it into my G5 but come to find out my old 10.3.9 just doesn't support it :(

Oh well, I think - I guess I'll have to upgrade and patiently wait to use the Touch. She steps out of the room saying she has to get something out of the car and comes back with a Nordstroms bag....."Here, you wanna open it?" she says. I say OK and out comes a brand new White 2.4ghz Core2Duo MacBook with SuperDrive and 2GB RAM :D:D:D:D

WOOT, best girlfriend ever!! I had been wanting a laptop for the longest time and now my trusty ol G5 now has a speedy companion.

Sorry for the brag thread but Im super stoked and had to post!

Hehe, time to update my signature!!! :)

Also, whats the best way to prep this battery? Use to almost drained then recharge - do that for 5 cycles?

Any other advice would be welcomed!

No, she just bought the MacBook and got the Education Discount, in addition to getting the iPod touch for free.

Best girlfriend in the world, though. Congrats, man.

So she bought you a laptop. That equals mega-loaded.

Cha-ching!
