But what about people like me who can't make it to an :apple: store on the 10th to reserve? but can only make it on the 24th or 25th, can we not just walk in and buy one or reserve online on the 10th and then go an try on and buy on the 24th onwards?

I really enjoy the whole atmosphere of Apple Stores on launch days. Everyone is excited for their new device, and it's fun to meet new people that have similar interests in tech. I'm in personal correspondence with many of the employees and business team members at my local Apple Store, so it's fun to see them at this time. The store I am near is not in a mall and is generally not very crowded so it leads to a very fun experience for launch days

Enjoy? Our local Apple Store overloads it's human capacity so you have to line up outside for long periods of time on a regular weekend. If you think this is fun, I would hate to be with you when times are crappy!:p

No one knows that. Everything depends on Apple's inventory.

I just contacted Apple via the online chat and asked about pre-orders and in store pick up, the person replied back that the Apple Watch will be available to pre-order online from the 10th but didn't mention in store pick up for that he said to just keep an eye on Apple Hot News as things will be announced soon.

So I don't think even the sales people know everything just yet.

Yea that's true not even the sales or Apple customer care know yet.

I spoke to an apple rep recently because I've realised I won't have enough to preorder (money transfer from paypal -> bank acct wont make the cut in time).
I asked about on the day of preorder if I can reserve online to pick up in store on launch day, and got told yes.
I can just reserve the watch I want for the store I want and time (like the iPhone 6 launch) and just pay there apparently.

There giving out different information, I was told to keep looking at the Apple Hot news section as more information will be announced soon. If what you say is true then that will be good as I should be able to reserve one online for pick up on the 24th or 25th.

Waiting for the UPS guy will be the only choice. Hope they use UPS not fedex so I can have them hold at facility for pickup.
Agreed. I like doing it that way so I can go pick up my watch at 9AM even before the Apple stores open. :)

I second the hope that they use UPS over Fedex. The ability to pickup without delivery attempt is key.

Not entirely true. You can have it deliver at your work address. :D

Haha that's what I'm doing. I don't want to have to take a day off of school (high school) and work to wait for the watch, so I'll just send it to my Dad's employer and then I'll get it from him.

Where is this confirmed?

What about reservations made in store from the 10th?

If you make reservations on the 10th to try on then preorder, you can do that but most likely the exact watch that you want will probably be sold out and you'll get it after the 24th because most people are preordering regardless of seeing it. What I recommend is preordering what you want on the 10th, then go in to try it on. If you don't like it then cancel/change it. If you want to keep it then you know you'll have one on release day.
