Not more concepts, especially ones that aren't even based on rumors of things Apple is working on. Please MR make it stop!!!

Sure the idea us a bit rough, but I like it. Users who don't want it don't have to have it imposed on them by default, whereas people who do can have the choice.

I think the key thing about this concept is to do it in such a way that doesn't make the UI turn into a bad mish-mash of UI ideas like it does on Android.

Yeah sure it doesn't look very appealing at the moment but just think of the possibilities if Apple got a hold of this! The wake up screen was awesome, and the fact that you can make your own widget was cool. Probably not very likely to happen (and probably along with split screen) but it's still fun to dream.
Exactly. I'm always surprised at how so many commenters immediately hate on concepts like this. This is exactly what I love to see and hope that Apple is doing behind closed doors. Come up with something new that shakes things up but still feels very Apple. I like it, and I'm sure Apple could improve upon the concept.

The live weather block would be useful, but is it really that hard to bring up control center to skip forward or rewind a song?

iPhone user since day one and this is the most common sense approach I have seen to personalizing the home screen and is sorely needed. PLEASE APPLE!

All the Apple fans will absolutely love it after it gets released in iOS 8 - forgetting, of course, that the competition came up with it first.

The way it was presented feels messy to me.

Also, can't we just get rid of the Settings App icon all together and just open the settings app directly from "Control Center"?

Always launching setting from "Control Center" would be a single consistent place that is always easily accessible, and be one less icon to find a place for it in the springboard/Home-Screen.

I'd be happy if we just got a better weather view in notification center (with 5 day forecast, etc...)

I'm sorry but I don't think concepts are front page worthy. This particular concept isn't based on any iOS 8 rumor we've heard yet MR decides to put it up just a couple days before WWDC? For what purpose?

God in heaven that is just hideous.

Whenever I look at about 95% of these mockups that show up from time-to-time, I'm reminded why most people aren't UI designers...

Except there is ZERO evidence that Apple will be adding widgets in iOS 8.

Holy crap that looks terrible.....

At least center the wording under the "block".....

dreadful, awful, appalling, horrific, horrifying, horrible, horrendous, atrocious, abominable, deplorable, egregious, abhorrent, frightful, shocking, hideous, ghastly, grim, dire, unspeakable, gruesome, monstrous, sickening, heinous, vile;serious, grave, acute; informal; godawful; formal; grievous

Yah sure...it fits this description...you're sooo right.

I guess this is the next logical step but Apple needs to stop playing catch up with major UI features and start leading the pack again. why can't there be a swipe to the left with live widgets like on the mac with the dashboard. i dont understand!?!?

You mean the competition that copied the platform? The competition would still be making flip phones and keyboard phones.
