HomeKit Homekit camera has stopped detecting events

Hi All

This has been annoying me for a few days. I have a number of Aqara G100 cameras which have all been happily working as expected in Apple Home.

Recently, however, I have noticed I am no longer getting any activity notification from one of them - only one.... the others are fine.

I did notice that Apple Home had arbitrarily turned off all motion detection for all the cameras - and im putting this down to the upgrade to iOS26 perhaps... so I had to turn them all back on.

However, since doing so a single camera just wont work. It DOES stream and looks OK but just wont detect events.

I have tried toggling on and off the notifications and recording options. I have also tried power cycling the camera, deleting the camera from Apple Home and re-adding it - but still no luck.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot this?

Factory reset completely. I had this issue with the Aqara G4. I can’t guarantee it will stay working afterwards though. The issue usually came back but it was the only way I knew how to get it working again.
