HomePod HomePod interfering with iPhone 17

I want the Siri inside my iPhone 17 - not the Siri inside the tennis ball (i.e. HomePod). Is there anyway to disable the tennis ball? I only bought the tennis ball so that my lights could be controlled remotely (like when I'm hundreds of miles way from my home). Otherwise I pretty much hate the tennis ball.

The person who set up HomePod can use the Home app on their iPhone or iPad to change HomePod settings.
