HomePod Mini Getting Three New Colors in November: Yellow, Orange, and Blue

Wish it could’ve included a new driver design for improved low-end, but I do dig the colors. This is a good product to add color options to. Definitely seems like there should also be red and green options, at minimum.

OO new colors - too bad the software sucks and too bad for big HomePod owners with broken software.

I mean the big HomePod (HomePod Max????) was sold 2018-2021 using 2014-era hardware (A6 + 1GB RAM) --- there is a reason that the iPhone 6 doesn't run iOS 15 with its A6 and 1GB RAM. It would probably be as broken as the HomePod Jumbo

I wanted to get another one to make a stereo pair in my kitchen. So I could get an orange one, bring the black one down from my bedroom and pair it with the black one in my kitchen and put the orange one in my bedroom.

Oh yes. I just went to the apple website. I saw £89 but didn’t register that it was cheaper. Second pricing surprise this year. First was that the iPad mini 6 didn’t start at £499.

I think if they’d offered them at this price 3 or 4 years ago and opened them up to third party streaming services, I might have gone this route rather than the Amazon Echo. Great to see them coming down in price finally

In fact, I think the colors should be snap-on cases instead, but that wouldn't generate Apple nearly as much money, or will it?

Snap-on would be convenient (sorta), but would make for a worse (more fiddly bits to break), and physically larger, product.

The orange one would look a lot better with a couple of strategically placed black triangles, and maybe a notched semicircle outlined in some bright color.

On my bar area … the orange looks a bit brighter than what I have. The blue would definitely blend in with the room.

May need to see some reviews or real images first before I buy.

Absolutely, was gonna say the same thing. If I get one (for next year now tho, which SUCKS) I will 100% honestly take a FAT SHARPIE!! to that and make a pumpkin' for my Halloweens! Talk about dropping the ball on this one Apple damn!

My local Sam's has a display of the original HomePod. I talked to a worker and said I wanted to buy it off the display and he claimed there was a newer model coming. I think he is confused...
