It works that way using the home app? I can tap one scene to turn it on and off?
No, a scene sets the chosen accessories in a chosen state. The state they are being set to are not reverted because you press the scene a second time.

John Lewis have them in , just bought two of them , coming tomorrow

Thats 4 I’ve got now ! One for each floor.. the intercom is very useful in itself that’s without the music and Siri etc etc

Personally I rank it as one of the best apple devices I’ve bought over the last 30 years !

Sound quality from such a tiny thing always makes guests jaws drop

Managed to pick up two from EE my carrier they have them in stock in white….only place in UK who seem to I know John Lewis have had them in

i have 3 in total with two minis and 1 normal

yes in the home app taping the scene once turns it on and another time turns it off do you even have the app i use it every day. Clearly you have never tapped a scene twice. Attached is the scene if i tap once in the home app the lights turn on if i tap again they turn off??? both scenes i created here will turn the lights on and off by tapping in the home app. the home pod requires two to complete the task only doubling the amount of setup and commands to remember to turn a set of lights on and off
