There's plenty of stock worldwide. Next day delivery from Apple, in fact.

I’ve had two set-up as a stereo pair that we love. I also just grabbed a 3rd from the Best Buy sale for our back room. I’d love a bigger version... with a line in❤️

I just want one with audio out. I don’t see the point in getting one unless it integrates into my built-in ceiling speakers and nice receiver. I have two rooms with old airplay devices. Give me this and I will buy release day :)

I ordered two of the Sonos arc systems. I’ve given up on Apple to do what is needed so I can have audio for my Xbox systems.

Cook is about numbers and not great products.

jobs would talk numbers but glow about product unveils. Cook is the other way around

I’ve got a total of five and they are so awesome. I just got two through the employee discount program for the $149. If I could afford more, I’d get them.

We’ve got the whole house covered. With all of our HomeKit devices these make that experience even better.

Yeah I have 4 total. We just added 2 more over the holidays. We love them.

A cheaper HomePod wouldn't surprise me, but neither would Apple halting production on it. Just no idea how they're thinking about this device.

It’s too important strategically for the future of the company. People may laugh at that now but many also underestimated the potential and the importance of the Apple Watch, calling it a failure not too long ago.

Conversational computing is going to surpass touch interfaces by the end of the decade. Apple recognizes this which is why AI and Siri are an A-class priority for the company. They’ve poached Google’s John Giannandrea to lead the reinvention of Siri. I’m looking forward to that leap. And when it arrives, every Siri product will benefit, not the least of which the current and future HomePods.

I have 34 speakers running off 13 zones through Sonos in my house/poolhouse. HomePods are JV in comparison. Apple should have bought Sonos a long time ago.

Might just be supply chain issues. Not sure why retailers are selling them so cheap, but I just picked up two more for another room. Maybe Apple is testing the market? At $200 (or $400 for a pair) they are very competitively priced compared to other systems.

Bummer. I was starting to think of putting mine up for sale for $2999. (Mint condition, box and all.)
you mean 29.99? about the real market value of these things.

The sounds great two are amazing what sucks is Siri. So many times I ask it to turn off the lights all it does is say please wait please wait. Sorry I can’t process your request... but alexa boom every time.

lol Bye. Unless they fix Siri it doesn't make any sense to update the line, frankly. That's a software issue, not hardware. They could roll out a Dot sized version and it still wouldn't work as well as that product and it would cost at least three times as much because Apple.

I’d rather to listen to music on something that sounds better than my phone with the volume up. Are people even using Dots to listen to music for more than 12 minutes?
