The HomePod is Apples most underrated product they’ve manufactured in the last five years. Seriously, The HomePod has serious potential for growth, I just think the ‘price point’ for the average consumer is probably out of reach, but then again, the HomePod may not be for everyone given its very sound orientated v.s. Being just a ‘smart speaker.’

The average consumer would manage to pony up the extra dough if it was worth it.

We’ll be watching TV and our HomePod will occasionally play odd music we’ve never listened to. Often times tv will activate our Siri and it will start talking

It leaves rings on some furniture. Such a nice feature.

My Logitech One will wake up the iMac across the room pretty regularly. It's annoying. Freaked the better half out one night though. 😂😂😂😲👻👻👻

Post-sale Question: Can the HomePod eventually do more or will new features likely be exclusive to the next model?

I like the HomePod but there are pretty severe limitations that have been complained about for years and have never been addressed (AppleTV Remote Compatibility. 3rd party services etc). So I’m curious if there are physical limitations that will require the new HomePod to fix it. Or can these older HomePods get updated to do basic things like have the AppleTV actually control the volume on a connected HomePod.

I want to keep this but even at $140 then if the current feature set is the best it can do then I’m better off saving for the next model.

I'm still using my old Apple iPod HiFi speaker which now sounds like this....

What are you looking for the HomePod to do Homekit wise? It does everything you need it to do...there are many ways to make it control everything, and with shortcuts you can ask it do everything...they need to make a cheaper version and constantly fine tune Siri that's it
