Has anyone with a giant titanium pair of prolate spheroids did the update today? Apple has made me so nervous to update them over the past couple years. Never know what surprises are in store.

I’ve been running the betas on all of mine for the last few months. The only issue I have is controlling HomeKit devices specifically Philips Hue scenes where the HomePod will enact the scene and even when the scene has taken place she carries on saying she’s trying for a few seconds. Typical Apple ****.

Cool, thank you for that. So no concerns with heating or anything like that? I’m sure you would’ve mentioned a straight bricking so I’ll just leave that out lol.

I updated all but my homepods… waiting for people to do it first, if they fail i have no apple cover in The netherlands for homepods…

I hear ya. If the HomePods weren’t discontinued, I’d have no issue but I have nine of these, most out of warranty and I’d be devastated if they saw a premature departure from life especially if it could’ve been avoided.

yeah, my mini is going right at the moment, I didn't start it.. it just seemed to be happening when I opened the Home app. More concerned about the 2, still alive, main original HomePods in the stereo pair in my living room but they have an extended warranty from the place I bought them so I'm not terrified.

I turned off automatic updates. I’m still a bit nervous even with warranty. Are there enough units available to issue replacements? I can imagine they went like hot cakes since HomePodOS 13 lol.

Doing these updates on my HomePods one at a time after each got the downloads. Two out of four are updated currently.

Well, I had to click down into the stereo pair individuals and it appears my original HomePods both updated fine to iOS 15. Looking forward to trying out the lossless and spacial features when I'm less tired :)

Well I updated mine this morning. Let’s wait and see what happens. I couldn’t wait. I wanted the feature where you can ask the Apple TV to play specific movies and TV shows. I’ve been waiting for years for this!

So i just updated 2 hours ago my OG Homepods to 15.1

I checked the surface temp, re-activating Siri and Intercom

when off: 28 degrees celsius
after around 1h use: 34 degrees celsius (still too warm for my taste, btw. Dangerous? I dont know)

with 14.7 I arrived to 40 degrees celsius while active

lets see what happens. REDUCE BASS > heaven!

I updated all my HomePods (well all my devices) yesterday evening and knock on wood so far everything seems fine.

Updated mine (2 full-size HomePods and a Mini). One of the full sized HomePods has made a loud pop and rebooted while I was listening to music. Happened yesterday and today maybe a heat issue? :(

I updated yesterday but I am constantly getting the 'can't find this on Apple Music' error all the time. I have tried resetting and logging out but no luck. It can give me weather info but no music.

I put the latest 15.1 beta on all of mine to try and sort out the delays with HomeKit and they did work for a while, but now they all say unable to connect to the Internet.

My HomePods auto updated overnight (forgot I still had the profile on them) and am having the exact same issue

Same here. Forgot the profile was still on.

Strangely when I removed my original HomePod and re-added it everything was working again at least for a short while. They are all back now to the same error. How can Apple release such ***** software even as a beta?

Yeah I tried a reset too. Same experience as you. Worked for a bit but now same issue. Just hope they can download whatever patch apple puts out there or I have 6 paperweights

Just had a thought, I wonder if it’s because we are running iOS 15 rather than iOS 15.1 beta on our phones?
