Just had a thought, I wonder if it’s because we are running iOS 15 rather than iOS 15.1 beta on our phones?

I think so. I had the same problem and after updating my iPhone to iOS 15.1 the message about the internet connection problem ended and everything is working fine now.

Thanks. Will be interesting to see if yours continues working because whilst my phone remains on iOS 15, my HomePods did work for a short time before playing up again.

Having the same problem. All HomePods updated to the 15.1 beta overnight, despite me deleting the profiles. But why on earth should we now upgrade iPhone to 15.1 beta just for the HomePods connecting to the internet again?

Updated mine (2 full-size HomePods and a Mini). One of the full sized HomePods has made a loud pop and rebooted while I was listening to music. Happened yesterday and today maybe a heat issue? :(
I have 3 full size and 2 mini, one of my full size has done it 2x in the last week after the update. same thing, loud pop, then reboot

Both of my full size HomePods have done it a few times now :(. I tried factory resting both of them and I feel like it helped a little. But it has happened since, so may just be wishful thinking on my part. I really hope they fix it, but since they don't even sell them anymore I'm not holding my breath.

The only hope left is that they are still adding features to it, even after discontinuing it.

According to several reports Homepod OS 15.1 beta 2 restores volume and overall sound quality to its former glory, and OG Homepods sound even better with lossless content from Apple Music. Atmos is very impressive.

Can´t wait

I put the latest 15.1 beta on all of mine to try and sort out the delays with HomeKit and they did work for a while, but now they all say unable to connect to the Internet.

My HomePods auto updated overnight (forgot I still had the profile on them) and am having the exact same issue

Thanks to both of you for identifying this issue. My experience has been similar since the 15 updates on my phone and HomePods -- internet connection issues and the Siri voice very loud. It is very annoying, every time I asked Siri to play the radio on my HomePods, she yells "cannot connect to the Internet"... What's worse is that I have an automation set up as an alarm clock where the HomePod start playing the radio at 6 AM. With the current connection issue with the HomePods, my wakeup alarm never goes off! My wife is really upset! Unplugging and replugging the HomePod resets it for a few hours, the the connection and volume issues return.

Hoping for a fix soon. I don't want to install the Beta.
