Siri on my homepod doesn't respond with my questions on HomePod and always responds with "I found some web result." I can ask a question such as "what is the forecast for tomorrow?" and it would give it to me. Now, I get "I found some web result, I can send it to your iphone if you ask from there." I can ask it to play from a specific play list, but this other it isn't working.

I checked my settings and they are what they are to be, restarted the homepod and also unplugged it and had it restart when Iplugged it in.

Could it be an apple problem?
 
Most definitely an Apple software problem. Many of us are experiencing various HomePod, Siri, HomeKit, music playback issues on iOS and HomePodOS 16. It’s been a steaming pile of donkey dung from the beginning… to put it lightly. You ain’t doing anything wrong. Apple just plain sucks lately.

Eagerly awaiting the 16.2 update that’s supposed to introduce a whole new HomeKit architecture and HomePod improvements. Expected to be released sometime in the middle of next month.

Edit* If it’s not too much of a pain in the genitals, you can try factory resetting it. I believe some users have reported improvements after a factory reset.
 
Just FYI I just asked my HomePod mini your question and it gave me the forecast. It did pause and say one moment please. I noticed that something it's doing more now. Not just the HomePod but Siri in general. I asked it what's 5+2 and it repeated the question then answered it. The weird thing is right after that it said sorry then repeated itself.

Perhaps there is a location setting issue? Forward to give you the weather it needs to know your location so maybe there's an issue with that? Other than that I can say maybe reset your HomePod to factory settings.

I am on the fully up-to-date new 16.2 HomeKit system and even on that it is still consistently saying one moment or this is taking longer et cetera.

For me personally there has been zero improvement in responsiveness with both Siri and HomeKit on this new foundation.
 
Apple's AI software development is probably more focused on dropping the "Hey" from "Hey Siri" instead of actually making the damn thing work.

Spot-on. There is no way on earth they use HomeKit and Siri within their own homes. No way!

Apple has been left so far behind in the dust by Google and even Amazon that it's embarrassing. Even Samsung's Bixby has gone from an absolute meme to improving by leaps & bounds. Meanwhile Siri seems to actively lose brain cells with every single update.

Anyone I know who has any sort of home automation set up has avoided Apple like the plague for this very reason, even though all they use are Apple devices. Smallest range of compatible devices that are also generally pricier than those compatible with your competitors' + the worst smart assistant is not a recipe for success.
 
My problem is when I does find web results it used to send them to my phone. Cant even get it to do that anymore.

I don't see the utility of asking Siri on the HomePod a question then it sends it to my iPhone. I could've just asked Siri on my iPhone and skipped a step.

As to it not working for you maybe your iPhone isn't on the same WiFi network as the HomePod? Also try restarting both your iPhone and HomePod.

Yeah I don't really see the point also. I have tried that a few times didn't work then but I haven't even ask Siri anything in a while to know if it is still doing it. Is there a way to see what Wifi the HomePod is connected to? I rarely pick up another Wifi connection and when I do it's not great signal not sure why the HomePod would try to use it.

In the HomePod settings, scroll all the way down to the bottom. The last block of information that has the serial number, manufacturer, model number, etc also says the network it’s connected to.

these are the informations in that block, it doesn't show which wifi network is connected to.
