I’ve not watched your video yet, I’m not in a place I can put the volume up at the moment, so this may be a moot point.

But, and I know it sounds stupid, I mentioned in another thread that my wife has this problem with the HomePod sometimes, while I don’t. The cause for her, don’t laugh, is that she just wasn’t saying it right.

Yes I’m sure the jokes in relation to “ you’re not holding it right” will come, but it’s true. Unless she specifically pronounces it “seeree” it doesn’t always work. She’s a habit of saying it as “siree” which works sometimes but not always. Maybe it’s her accent, Christ knows.

I could see that, but it works like a charm then will quit, and I dont have a problem with my phone.

Next time Ill enable "Hey Siri" on my iPad, place it next to the HomePod and see if it responds

For those of you who understand how these things are built and the Apple servers that allow them to operate: Could the inconsistencies in Siri "hearing" your voice be a function of the server or internet, instead of the individual HP? Would there be any difference in the HP's ability to "hear" you speak if server demand was particularly high? Would there be any difference with a weak wi-fi signal in the home? Basically just wondering if there might be external factors to inconsistent voice reception by the HP, rather than internal.

I want to. But cannot be bothered. I have just started using the app now. Stopping music with 'hey Siri, stop playing music' never works. I used to work when I whispered it from across the room. I shouted last night, the music went quiet and then played again. Very frustrating.
