honestly pissed about the GB scheme

how is 16gb still the base line? HONESTLY how long would that last with all these HD apps pictures videos etc?

So then instead of having a 32gb at 199 and 64 at 299 they make it so they charge you an arm and a leg for the 64 gb, take out the 32 gb, and leave you with a 48gb gap between the two options???

I was going to upgrade instantly until i saw the iP+ was 399 for a 64gb considering there isn't a 32 gb at the 16gb on that phone will last a month before its full.

This is a bs ****ed up scheme to make customer pay more $.
 
Perhaps because more people are streaming and not keeping video on their phones.

I bought a 32GB phone, but now, seeing my actual usage, I'll move down to the 16GB.

The above really is the definitive reason as to why.

16GB works for many people. For those it doesn't, there is the larger size.

If you can't come with $100, you are not Apple customer material. Sorry but true.
 
there is a larger size, but you don't freakign up it by 48gb difference and charge the customer so much more money.

rich people get rich because of people like you that don't find a reason to have $100 on them and instead give it to us entrepreneurs. sad but TRUE.
 
Maybe you should put black tape over the part where it offers a 16gb,and just look at the new BASE model of 64gb.

Feel better now?

Perception can sure mess some people up.
 
How are they charging an arm and a leg for the 64GB isnt it essentially the same price as the 32GB was in years past (based off the 6 model)?

Did you not understand my post about how its schemed to make more $ off customers?

I have been an Apple fan for longer than most people in the world, been a user for years but i am a realist, i am a smart guy, i don't settle for whats always given i look at the finer side of things.

Its peole like you that allow such a stupid thing to happen.

People don't offer a phone with a 48GB GAP in between and hike the price up the way they do! Makes no ****ing sense. From a BUSINESS point of view its brilliant, its an extra 100+ dollars they make off people like you that think its about what they want and not what fits SOCIETY.

You do realize my complaint would benefit you as well not just me righT? it isn't like i said i want a phone that makes a spaceship. It was simple, don't scheme people out of more money.

We are on macrumors so there will be biased people. Some people will just not criticise apple ever. Let's get this straight, offering 16GB is objectively bad for the consumer.
 
Sorry just trying to decipher all the mixed information around the net. I take it the 32gb has gone, so how much is the 64gb 4.7 inch phone likely to be? I have a 32gb iPhone 5 and am a little concerned I am going to be paying significantly more for an iPhone with appropriate storage. I have a 16gb ipad and it was a mistake as apps just fill it up. I'll need the next option which I assume is the 64gb.

I didn't read all the responses but I'm upset too. I wanted a 32gb phone. The 6 Plus in 64gb is going to cost around $550 after tax and activation fee ON contract.
 
Think about it this way:

You got three price points: Low, Medium, High
Capacities at 16/32/64

Low price point consists of price sensitive folks who don't care about storage

Medium price point consists of people who care enough about storage to shell out a bit more

High price point consists of people who really want a lot of storage and folks who are not price sensitive, so people who really want 64GB and people who want even more than 64GB

By changing to 16/64/128

You keep the medium price point people at the medium price point, you have some who were at the high price point who will drop down to the medium point, but a lot of the high point folks will stay there because what they really want is 128 or even more. In addition, by widening the gap between low and medium, you may convince a few low point folks to upgrade to medium.

If you switched to 32/64/128, you'd have a lot of formerly medium folks switching to the low point. By keeping 16 at the low end, you prevent that from happening.

Similar analogy is the airline industry, look at how Business and First Class have improved over the years with all the bells and whistles while coach is still coach.

The reason is not everyone needs a large HD unless they take a great deal of photos and video. You need to wake up and realize there are different users in this world and not everyone is like you.

My mother and father doesn't need more than 16GB. Neither does most of my aunts and uncles who all have iPhones.

Wake up kid.

Yeah, I don't think it will be quite that high.;)

$399(1.07)+35= 461.93

Used a 7% tax rate.

That is correct. Basically Apple dropped 32GB and put in 64GB in its place and then added 128GB at the old 64GB price. But to listen to some, it is the worst thing evar!:rolleyes:

The choice was:

6+ for $399 at 32G
6+ for $399 in 64G

Apple wasn't going to sell a midrange 6+ for anything less than $399 - it has to be $100 more than the 6
