annoyingly, I go on holiday to the UK on the 1st May and don't get back until the 12th...so if I don't manage to get mine on the 24th April, but Apple manage to ship it a week later I'll still have to wait until second week of May

I think I ordered the first order at 12:02. It was for the 42mm SS Milanese and got 4/24-5/8 delivery date.
Order time marked on confirmation 12:03

Ordered the Sport 42 mm Space Grey and got a deliver date listed upon my click as 04/24-05/08, but confirmation at 12:04:39 gave the 05/13-05/27. I'm not sure why the seconds were included, but it got sent to a different email account than the first order. I hope this one slides into the first wave orders, too.

Now we wait to see what will transpire.

No one calling Apple is getting anywhere. It would be a waste of time. Our best hope is that it comes before then.

Often I'm outspoken about Apple's arrogance, over hyping products, and recently, shipping buggy software. But when it comes to launches, filling orders and shipping, each of the many launches I've participated in have been handled quite well given the massive challenge they are.
