IUP is a 24 month payment period. However, after 12 payments, you are eligible to upgrade. Now to be eligible for to upgrade earlier I think it's 3 or 6 month, I can't remember. But the catch is that even if you made 9 payments by September, at check out, you will be charged the remainder of the 12 payments at check out so 3 month worth.
