Hostage Situation Reported at Apple Store in Amsterdam [Updated]

Is it a guy making a statement about corporations and monopolizing behaviour...for example Apple's app store and dating apps in the Netherlands
instead of thinking about the products he can steal, how about the poor underpaid employees in the store? Hopefully no one gets hurt!
Not very bright these robbers. The apple store is literally 600m from the police headquarters.

Well, 600 meters is still about a third of a mile. Close, but it’s not like it’s 600 feet away (182 meters).Not very bright these robbers. The apple store is literally 600m from the police headquarters.

Wow, hope things are resolved quickly. Seems right out of a movie at this point. Not sure if the apple store is the actual target or somewhere that had a high volume of people. Be safe out there everyone.
I always wonder what makes you throw away your own life like this. I've been in a pinch or two, financially and otherwise, and still I just couldn't dream up a circumstance where this would be the wisest course of action I could imagine. Let's just hope this gets resolved without bloodshed.
According to AT5: Everyone is safe, and the hostage is safe too. The hostage taker is being inspected by a robot and at gunpoint.

Hostage ran out of the store chased by the gunman until he was taken out hard by a police car.
I'm not sure why any posts related to COVID-19 and any political posts get comments disabled but news posts like this does not... I somehow understand others making light of the situation or they are just after likes and reactions but still...

Well... I must say, I live near Amsterdam now, worked there too... but I'll never stay any more seconds than absolutely necessary. Horible area.
I hope the hostage-taker had AppleCare+ for any devices he had on him.
