Yes. Or you can pay $30/mo for unlimited tethering and not worry about doing something against the TOS.

1. Buy iPhone full price so you dont lose your unlimited plan
2. Either pay Verizon $29.99/mth to activate an unlimited hotspot or jailbreak your phone and use the hotspot apps for their costs however much it is.

Me: I am paying $29.99, non jailbreak, using hotspot unlimited.

Sure you could jailbreak and not pay the $30, and although VZW seems to not care at this point, in the future they could.

Im sure youll be rooting for Verizon to catch these users right since youre so holy?

Just add the hotspot when you need it and take it off when you don't. I only need it every now and then and add/remove it the same day. You'll get prorated and it comes out to $1 a day.

This is what I do. Works like a charm. Don't care to jailbreak and don't use the hotspot enough to warrant keeping it activated 24/7.

Hmmmmm. Does AT&T have a similar tethering option as well for people who still have unlimited data?

I would think so. It should be under add/remove features or something similar. You add a feature and when you don't need it you remove it. You will only get charged for the days you actually had the feature. i would imagine AT&T does this also.

No, AT&T doesnt provide such option.
If you want tethering they make you switch away from your unlimited data plan and you lose it for good.

Dont assume if you dont know.
Not every carrier operates the same.

Ah - that's too bad. I would actually consider giving up my jb if I could tether without having to jb. I do use a few other jb tweaks, but tethering is probably the most important feature to me even though I don't use it all that often. When I do need it though, it's nice to have the option. I'm surprised AT&T doesn't offer this feature as well - it's usually monkey see monkey do.

Yes.
I like it too and one of my main reasons to stay jb on my att unlimited data plan.

I hit the point where i am kinda had it with all the Verizon roadblocks. Have enjoyed my gUDP. I think i will make a change. Gonna give tmobile a shot. I cant even add an lte watch if i wanted and it would be nice to get a price break on the phones. Fortunately things keep changing. I can always come back.
