Speck Fitted case right now (the green striped one). Freaking love this case. With that, the phone gets carried in an interior pocket in my purse with papers and other non-scratchy stuff. Even if there's nothing in my jeans pockets, I'm hesitant to put it in there as my 3GS sustained a teeny scratch that way (it was like 1.5 mm long and was only visible when I was looking for it, but the fact that it was there in the first place drove me NUTS. I still don't know how it got there; it was fine before I stuck it in my pocket--which was empty--and the scratch was there after I took it out. Grrrrrrr.)

I was using an Invisible Shield in the screen and a Belkin Clear Vue for protection. This weekend I removed the Invisble Shield and I had installed a Ghost Armor all around the phone. I love the Ghost Armor compared to the Invisible Shield, it feels less rubbery and for me I can't notice it's there from a touch perspective. For now I will just be carrying it in my pocket am looking to buy a holster.

I have a bumper, but with carrying it in my left, front pants pocket, I'm really concerned that I am going to bang it on something while I'm at work. I tend to be a spaz...just a little. With my 3G it was no biggie....since it obviously didn't have a glass back.

I figured out a long time ago that cell phones belong in pockets rather than holsters and such...because I was alway wacking them on stuff. Since I switched to carrying in my pockets my phones have remained in really good shape.

I used to feel the same way. I tried holsters a long time ago but gave up on them in lue of just putting it in my front pocket too. It was obtrusive and not very discrete. But now with the iPhone 4 and it's glass front and back, I do worry about leaning against something sharp and getting scratched sliding in and out of my pocket. So now I'm reconsidering a holster again.

Has anyone tried the Waterfield Smart Case for the iPhone 4 with a bumper? It can be ordered with a belt clip or else the whole case can be slid into your pocked. Does this case add to much bulk? Waterfield also has a suede sleeve as a thinner option. Any first hand experience with either of these cases would be appreciated.

Here is the link to the Waterfield Smart Case that fits with the bumper: http://www.sfbags.com/products/iphone-cases/smartcase-iphone.php

That case looks decent. I'm still a holster fan and I'm having a hard time finding a holster that accepts a phone with a bumper. There are lots of cases/bumpers available and lots of holsters/pouches but hardly any pouches within enough room to comfortably fit a bumper.

I've found a few which are a force fit but getting the phone back out quickly is a problem.

i would just go with a holster and a full body skin, if you use the bumper in a holster i think the force of pulling it out will make the bumper lift your screen shields etc and maybe even screw up the bumper.
