The Moe Haircut.Put a kitchen bowl on the head and trimming works for me.![]()
I remember his. I wonder if it is still actively being manufactured? Their main system is out of stock.I have been using ...... Flowbee. for over a decade
Do you mean without any guard?I use a Wahl rechargeable clipper with No. 3 comb for the top, No. 2 comb for the sides and back and a bit off the bottom of the back with no comb. It’s so easy, quick and you save heaps of time and money. No mirror. Just do it by feel outside where a mess doesn’t matter and catch any tufts I missed later. Takes about 5 minutes.
I used to use the clipper without any comb but realised that was a bit extreme.
I was wondering that too.......... over the decade (or more) I have had two.I remember his. I wonder if it is still actively being manufactured? Their main system is out of stock.
Been shaving my head for over a decade, so, pandemic proof haircut.I'd love to visit a barber right now...if any were open. 😄
I keep my hair medium length for a guy, trimmed to just above the ears at the sides--short enough to look and feel good, and long enough to hide my over-the-ear hearing aids.
But of course with the shutdown we're all getting shaggier. I've been attempting, with some success, to use one of those handheld personal groomers--the kind you use for nose hairs, etc.-- to trim my hair just above the ears. There's a flat head attachment which works...fairly well.
The problem is it's not nearly as big as a full size barber type electric trimmer (which I don't have). The nice part is for safety it's very well designed, making it virtually impossible to accidentally cut myself with it.
As for the rest of my hair, I'm not touching it yet. If I were to get a trimmer and try to do my own hair, I'm afraid I'd look like your typical four year old when he tries to cut his own hair.
And I really don't wanna have to ask my mom to fix it for me. 😄
I suspect that aiming for 1.5" should give enough of a margin for error and repair while you get comfortable with the clippers...When I get t cut, it probably cut to 1.5”, then grows from there.
I clipped my hair this afternoon with a number 8 (1”) and no.6 (3/4”), it looks good and was fairly easy other than I immediately regretted a corded model. I bought a little Phillips norelco trimmer, great for around the ears and neck line with this:I suspect that aiming for 1.5" should give enough of a margin for error and repair while you get comfortable with the clippers
But does it have an attachment for your ears and nose. I don't seem to get hair in my ears, and I pluck out the few that I see in my nose. I like the sensation and satisfaction of pulling them out!But does it have an attachment for your ears and nose. We all know they are the problem areas once you hit your 40’s!
It will get worse as time goes on.I had a cheap Wahl but got fed up with the cord, so got the previous version of this Panasonic one for approx. $100 in a sale a few years ago.

Panasonic ER-DGP82
The cutting performance of the ER-GP82 has been significantly improved compared to the already very powerful Panasonic ER-1611. With 62,000 hairs per second, the ER-DGP82 is 17% more powerful than the ER-1611 (53,000 hairs per second). This increase is due to the further development of the...www.digitec.ch
I love the fact it's cordless as I cut my hair (no. 2 or 3 all over) standing in the bath and just rinse it all away. I do it weekly, and I'm now bald enough that there isn't really much being cut.

I've been using the same walmart purchased Wahl Trimmer on my beard for probably 15 years. During the pandemic with no hair dressers being opened, I've been using it to just do my head too.I have a cheap Wahl trimmer that I use every week. I started balding in college and just kept having it cut shorter and shorter until I eventually bought a trimmer to do it myself. Figured there was no sense in paying someone to do it for me once it got short enough that I could use the same setting all over. These days I use the shortest setting available, which is only a tiny bit longer than using a razor.
Certainly saves a lot of money, although I do occasionally splurge on a cut and a shave. It's nice to be pampered from time to time.![]()
