Same here.. If people want to know something they ask if I can look it up on my Watch. Some things Siri can do, but many things it still cannot, unfortunately.people ask me if it can "go on that internet" constantly. drives me insane

Yeah, you definitely left.
Ha! I did. But then I couldn't resist popping right back in again. What was Arnie's catchphrase in the Terminator movies again?![]()
Regarding my OP, in the five or so weeks that I've had the Apple Watch, I've found that I haven't had to give anyone a demo, anyway! So it's all good
FWIW - if anyone does ask, some of my fav uses apart from the usual health tracking and getting text messages, etc. on my wrist are Apple Pay on London Transport - I find this works really well. And the BBC News/Guardian Newspaper 'breaking news' apps - a great way to keep up to date with important news stories.
I'm very pleased that generally people who are interested just ask whether I like it but not for a demo.
I'm also finding the BBC News and Graun 'breaking news' alerts great to have on my wrist although they have resulted in some odd moments (such as glancing at my watch while on holiday in Italy and surprising my friends with "Blimey, Cilla Black's died").
I've yet to use Apple Pay at all (despite registering a couple of cards on the day it launched in the UK). I think maybe London Transport is the place to start as any fumbling about on my part will be less obvious than in a shop with an actual person watching me. Perhaps a trip on one of the new Routemasters is called for.
So, I've had my Watch for around a week. I've been fairly low-key with it at work as I normally wear long sleeves, but as we seem to be having a mini heatwave here in the UK, I wore a t-shirt to work today.
Cue lots of "Is that an Apple Watch?" questions...
I really wish I had a 'patter' to go through to show it off at it's best - instead of trying to get Siri to call my colleague and have it fail miserably, or waiting what seemed like an age while it tried to read my heart rate
I'm sure I could have done better - any tips?
Oh - and I'm in the UK, so I can't show Apple pay yet
Fella.
Strap it on your forehead and wear an Apple shirt. If people ask what Apple products you own calmly respond with "I have everything, because it just works". 100% success rate guaranteed.

I've had it since June 15 and also been low key. No one asked or noticed which is fine. I've already read a few stories already here of people getting robbed of the watches on the street or even following them outside the few Apples stores in the malls. AND since these punks know it works with the phones. They are stolen too. Sucks..but I figured this would happen.
I was in line at the grocery store this past week, cashier line at the grocery store. A guy behind me, maybe in his 50s said "Whoa, is that the Apple Watch?" He has never seen it in person..Wanted to see the face, how the home screen moves around, if I liked it..etc. Small talk. So far it's the only time someone asked about it.
That's hilarious. I did the same thing a few times, too. My friends look at me with expressions that are a combination of, "How did you find out?" and, "Who the f. cares?"I'm also finding the BBC News and Graun 'breaking news' alerts great to have on my wrist although they have resulted in some odd moments (such as glancing at my watch while on holiday in Italy and surprising my friends with "Blimey, Cilla Black's died").
