Yeah, you definitely left.

Ha! I did. But then I couldn't resist popping right back in again. What was Arnie's catchphrase in the Terminator movies again? ;)

Regarding my OP, in the five or so weeks that I've had the Apple Watch, I've found that I haven't had to give anyone a demo, anyway! So it's all good :)

FWIW - if anyone does ask, some of my fav uses apart from the usual health tracking and getting text messages, etc. on my wrist are Apple Pay on London Transport - I find this works really well. And the BBC News/Guardian Newspaper 'breaking news' apps - a great way to keep up to date with important news stories.

Fella.

I'm very pleased that generally people who are interested just ask whether I like it but not for a demo.

I'm also finding the BBC News and Graun 'breaking news' alerts great to have on my wrist although they have resulted in some odd moments (such as glancing at my watch while on holiday in Italy and surprising my friends with "Blimey, Cilla Black's died").

I've yet to use Apple Pay at all (despite registering a couple of cards on the day it launched in the UK). I think maybe London Transport is the place to start as any fumbling about on my part will be less obvious than in a shop with an actual person watching me. Perhaps a trip on one of the new Routemasters is called for.

Apple Pay works anywhere that accepts contactless payment.

So, I've had my Watch for around a week. I've been fairly low-key with it at work as I normally wear long sleeves, but as we seem to be having a mini heatwave here in the UK, I wore a t-shirt to work today.

Cue lots of "Is that an Apple Watch?" questions...

I really wish I had a 'patter' to go through to show it off at it's best - instead of trying to get Siri to call my colleague and have it fail miserably, or waiting what seemed like an age while it tried to read my heart rate

I'm sure I could have done better - any tips?

Oh - and I'm in the UK, so I can't show Apple pay yet :)

Fella.

Maybe they are curious. I was the same at work. I was asked and I said yes it is. I show the watch face that I had selected. The Click to show the apps. Most got bored so I'd stop.

I honestly prefer that people don't notice my Apple watch because:

- 3 out of 4 people I run into are non tech savvy people who regurgitate what they heard or read online and try to come across as to "knowing" about my "iWatch".
- After showing a person a few features the conversation usually seems to end as to why they won't be buying one because it's too expensive.

Strap it on your forehead and wear an Apple shirt. If people ask what Apple products you own calmly respond with "I have everything, because it just works". 100% success rate guaranteed.

Haha I wore my Apple t-shirt on April 25th, the day after I got my watch. I wasn't trying to show it off, but people saw the Apple shirt and the Watch and got all excited and started asking me all sorts of questions. It was kind of funny, but I'll definitely be sure to not wear my Apple shirt after I get a new product lol

Yeah, I've had a couple people ask if they can try it on, especially when it was really close to launch, and I had to awkwardly decline. I can't let anyone try to strap my $400 on their wrist unless I trust them to not drop it.

I would never bother preparing a presentation just in case somebody wants to see my watch. If anything, why not just show the faces + complications?

I've had it since June 15 and also been low key. No one asked or noticed which is fine. I've already read a few stories already here of people getting robbed of the watches on the street or even following them outside the few Apples stores in the malls. AND since these punks know it works with the phones. They are stolen too. Sucks..but I figured this would happen.

I was in line at the grocery store this past week, cashier line at the grocery store. A guy behind me, maybe in his 50s said "Whoa, is that the Apple Watch?" He has never seen it in person..Wanted to see the face, how the home screen moves around, if I liked it..etc. Small talk. So far it's the only time someone asked about it.

I get my hair cut in a kind of sketchy spot. I know there've been robberies about two blocks down. I don't bring the watch with me when I go.

I don't show it on purpose. People who would be impressed notice it by themselves. There are lovers and haters with every personal item you own. I could wear a Rolex ( I'm a hater btw) and 30% wouldn't notice because they don't care. 20% would say nice watch and the other 50% would convince themselves it's a fake anyhow. So I just wear my apple watch. Don't put emphasis on it and sometimes I get a remark.

That's hilarious. I did the same thing a few times, too. My friends look at me with expressions that are a combination of, "How did you find out?" and, "Who the f. cares?"

I think, if someone wants to see how it works, and we have some time, I'd have them put it on their own wrist. I can unlock it with my phone, then I'd say to send me a text, which will, of course, pop up on their wrist.

It's a start, anyway.

I haven't intently showed off my Apple Watch, especially now in winter when wearing long sleeves, but it didn't go unnoticed - mostly by other women. They tend to ask all kinds of practical questions around my usage which I happily respond to. :)
