i ordered from him a month ago and requested a refund and still haven't gotten it yet.... i'm pretty sure he's legit but just bombarded with stuff (had some problem with his friend) but he said he's going to give me the full oem kit for free. still haven't received either yet :(

Even though this thread is a little old, I wanted to answer haha.

A lot of times you can tell if it's a conversion by checking the headphone jack and/or dock connector. Most shops don't swap those out to white when they do conversions. I don't normally either unless it's requested. Now because it's very easy to get non-OEM white kits with the updated sensor, it's best to check the jacks or just type in the serial # on Apple's site.
