I don't know if it's disappointment but really a bit of shock that mighty Apple can't come up with a new phone after 16 months while Samsung, HTC, and others come up with newer hardware designs every three months in various sizes. Not comparing phones but how some companies with fewer resources are able to bring new technology (LTE, screen size, etc.) out so quickly.
They can do it because they don't take the time and effort to provide a OS and hardware that work seamless together. Or make sure that the user experience is better than the last device they made.
That Apple doesn't care or that they just want more money if a false assumption. Without their reputation for providing a great user experience where would they be?
That is a misconception. Apple doesn't not do something just to do something. They do it if it makes sense and can enhance the user experience. Something the other companies don't take into consideration and cannot match. This is the sole reason why their products sell like hotcakes and they don't sell "junk' as steve would say. They are a software company first and for most and design and make devices to enhance their software. Not the other way around as most companies do.
Why is everyone crying? The specs of the iPhone 4S beats out most if not all the phones out right now. The A5 is now fi not the fastest one of the most powerful SOC in a smartphone at this very moment.
Puts the Galaxy S2 to shame. Beats it in just about every test. Even if the Ghz on the Galaxy S2 is 200Mhz higher. How fast a processor runs doesn't mean it is more powerful. How many operations per Ghz and how it works with the OS is most important.
I am not going to post the links again a search will take care of that, but the A5 even meets or beats the non-realased Qualcomm 1.5Ghz dual core Cortex A9 that is going to be going in the next gen Android phones.
If the camera is any indication on the iPhone 4 while at 5Mp, the 8Mp in the 4S with the improved sensor may be the best out there right now.
How isn't IOS 5 not a improvement.
Of coarse they would give us a bigger screen if it didn't take away something, most likely battery life. I don't know about you, the 3.5 screen while smaller, is a quality screen and the battery life of my iPhone 4 puts to shame any Android phone on the market. I would take battery life over a half inch in screen real-estate any day of the week. I can take my daughter to Disney and not worry about if my battery will last the day, can your Android phone do that with your five inch screen. Probably not.
