iPad Pro How did you get your Apple Pencil?

Same Apple Store told business account they have stock after telling regular customer they have no stock.

Then I had a friend who had a business account call and ask and they put two aside for him. They kind of smuggled it out to us in a bag so no one would see it.

If you know anyone with a business account, that is the way to do it. I didn't believe they were holding stock, but I now consider that CONFIRMED.

I'm not in NYC. Check the thread for stock check. Some are asking and some are offering there. Some say NJ has stock too.

Was actually going there hoping for a Smart Keyboard, and though the guy went in the back and said they had none, he did say they had ALOT of Pencils in the back.

Take that with a grain of salt obviously, but this was at around 12:15 PM. so anyone in the area that's looking for a pencil may want to check it out! (again make sure they look in the back)

I bought 2 today at my Apple Store in NC. I've been calling every day to check stock status and today was my lucky day!

I work in retail and we get shipments in every day from a freight delivery company in the morning, fedex Comes around noon and UPS around 4. Larger stores even get multiple deliveries from them. Depends on the size of shipment and physical space in each truck. UPS and fedex also have different branches, local, freight, express, etc.. This multi truck delivery is especially true for malls and plazas where every store has to get deliveries from these same companies. No way one driver could take care of all of them.

BTW, we also have no clue when or what is coming, just a rough estimate.

I got two through an Apple Store – my family owns a business and a business team member was able to hold two  Pencils for us in store (pre-paid over the phone) after they received a shipment so we could pick them up, since the nearest store is an hour away.

Walked into the AS and picked it up.. along with the iPad Pro and Smart KB.. Luck of the visit that they had (1) left of the iPad Pro in 32G Gold..
 
I called my local store today and picked one up on a business account. They said Tucson only got 20 pencils total; now I have two of those. None on the shelf today at the store.
 
Found out when the store gets deliveries, and called right at that time. Turned out they got a few in that box, so I rushed in and got one.

I only spent 1 day searching...

Everyone seems to be calling at random times throughout the day which makes no sense.
 
Business pickup cutoff is at 4PM. If they don't pick up, it's released to the public.

Guy said "We have one pencil - you're very lucky. 4pm was the cutoff time for a business pickup, and they never showed. I was gonna buy it."

Apple Store app checking method explained by employee.

He said that there were customers today that purchased both the keyboard and pencils for pickup.

Sounds odd but since he did say people today picked up a couple of keyboards and pencils it might be worth a try.

Best Buy - Jantzen Beach, OR. I reserved online. Supply is hit and miss by store, but they have elected to activate their online reservation system.

I got one randomly when walking into an Apple Store. They only had 8 on the shelf and they sold through them all in the 35 minutes I was there.
 
My pre-order arrived via UPS yesterday

It almost will stay attached to the smart magnetic cover.
