How did you react when you unboxed and turned on your first new Mac?

I was with a smile on my face. I was quite happy to finally own a Mac.

It's crazy to me how many people like the start up video thing; the way it went with me was after about 0.2 seconds I was over it, I would have much rather booted right into OS X.

LOL. I was thinking, "This is cool, I guess. I've seen it before, so..." and proceeded to go to the next thing.

Was excitied at having a new toy to play with.

Turned it on, cringed at the welcome video (as did my girlfriend sitting next to me)

Set it up and then installed my apps and started using it. No magic moment for me

Had a shiteating grin on my face and hummed along to the intro. Then prayed it didn't have any pixel worries.
Does anyone else think that there is a new computer smell? I am sure there was one for about a week with my latest MBP.

To me it wasn't a big deal, just another computer, although I held it and twisted it around a while to admire the asthetics and how clean it looked.

Ipad 2 I was a little different (I was coming from Ipad1), I was surprised by how light and thinner it was. Had the big eyes! haha
