I have gs2 and a 4s the gs2 i got as a gift from a company great phone no doubt but i guarantee you my 4s has better batt life. Im wondering why people are having problems with the 4s there are 3 in my household and most of my freinds have one none having any issues???

I can't make it through 5 hours of not even using my Evo without the battery dying. My iPhone can make it two days without a charge. And yeah. It has flash. I never use it because 1: nothing I use really uses flash. All websites want to be friendly to apple products and are moving away from flash. If something is big in flash it will crash after extended use on the phone. And the droid doesn't multitask any better them iOS. It suspends the apps. Yeah it will download in the background but that's the only thing it will do sometimes worry free.

Android batteries are much worse. I have my iphone ordered from verizon and i have a droid charge and a droid x. I am a moderate user and the droid x lasted a day but the droid charge cant make it through the day. I know some of my friends with iphones can go 2-3 days on the iphone with the same usage as me.

My iPhone experience:

First iPhone: not bad for a version 1.0 product

Second gen: getting better, now with 3G quite nice

iPhone 3GS: excellent phone, more refined, I'm very satisfied.

iPhone 4: terrific styling, oops surprise - ANTENNAGATE can't get a signal in places the 3GS was really good in. Oops surprise, home buttons fail, I get three free replacement iPhones.

iPhone 4S: oops surprise, battery life is crap, phone dies, back to the Apple store for a replacement.
iPhone 4S (#2) oops no surprise, another buggy nasty phone. Back to the Apple store, but only after it dies, sound familiar?
iPhone: 4S (#3) oops... you don't even have time to read the long list...

Oh, and by the way? Apple cares so much about "the user experience" the old CEO spoke to us in the most condescending way he might as well have used the words

Look you stupid idiots "You're Holding It Wrong"
Don't you know how to hold a flippin cell phone by now ?

Yeah Apple sure does care about the user experience ...

Apple is so smart they know the fanbois will take anything

Oh thank you Steve :) :) :)

In a few ways I agree and disagree. My dealings with the 4 and 4S hasn't really ran into many issues and I've had no replacements. However that said, I do agree the thing about user experience is a bit flawed the "you're holding it wrong" excuse was definitely a bit over the top. Apple should admit fault and fix it ASAP rather than pointing fingers at the users and AT&T.

Maybe not, but you can deny average use gets ~ the same, possibly better (again, depending on the phone) than the iPhone a lot of times on "average use".

I have two coworkers with Android phones, both very tech savy so they know what they are doing, and they hate their battery life. I hear them all the time complaining that it doesnt last through the day. Not all Android phones are the same obviously, but the grass isnt always greener.

Where I'm coming from is if one sets aside the specific faults, and just looks at the overall record, the early phones were less flawed, had been through a more rigorous quality control program, and were delivered the way one expects of Apple.

At least if you've been with them as long as I have.

I'm very reasonable and not here to pick the phone apart, that's a fact.

But when one has a many serious issues like the proximity sensor which was another well documented issue, it speaks volumes of Apples complacency.

I never expect a brand new phone to be perfectly sorted out, but one should not have issues so major it won't place a call. Sitting side by side in the theater before the movie, my wife is able to place a crystal clear call on her 3GS and my iPhone 4 won't even connect.

That's unacceptable. This is Apple not Nokia or Radio Shack

I'm a student teacher and frequently find myself in a battle with students who are struggling for the desk closest to the outlets so they can charge up their smartphones. they are always android phone chargers.

That said, please don't dick around with your phones in class--high school or college.

No worries, that's about to end as Steve kills off Android.

I will be so happy

One of the guys I work with has a Nexus S, he always has his USB cable plugged into his computer to charge his phone. I've had to plug mine in maybe twice. :)
