Im sure you guys are always seeing Kim Kardashian taking selfies in the mirror or even Ashton Kutcher is probably someone who is just as excited about the iPhone 6 as us considering he even played Steve Jobs in the movies.

I mean everyone from Mylie Cyrus to Jay Z to probable 80% of Hollywood uses iPhones so I wonder if Apple or AT&T give them special ordering privileges where they can get the phones sooner then the general public or maybe even for free.

I remember awhile back there were photos of Keane Reeves standing in line waiting for the 3G and so was Jason Bateman.

All I'm saying, if Justin Bieber Gets his iPhone 6 before I do I'm gonna be pissed! lol

I'm pretty sure they have assistants that get it for them, unless it's gifted to them by Apple for promotional purposes (unlikely). Most rich people and celebrities have assistants that do everything for them.

most of them probably make some assistant wait in line for them. although i do recall Jason Bateman waiting inline for the iPhone 4, i think the story was on MR

Likely get them at the same time. But they have people that work for them to wait in line and or pre order them.

Agreed. They most likely get their assistants to buy the iPhones for them.

They could easily just buy one, considering they're worth millions. Hell Beyonce could buy the entire shipment if she wanted to. Apparently most celebs have AT&T or Verizon as their provider. Lol I don't see Verizon giving anybody privileges for anything. Jesus Christ himself could walk into verizon and ask for service and VZW would still make him do a credit check

And yes, I work in the film industry, and most people wouldn't think twice about having an assistant or some other hired hand get a phone for them. Ten hours in line costs them what, an extra $150? That's really nothing.

Once your famous you get all the things you want lol. Of course I want you using my phone. Of course I want you wearing my brand shoes, watches, sunglasses ect. For some reason celebrities are like gods to America and we want what they have. That goes for sports players too.

I worked at an Apple Store for six years. Celebrities rarely come in, it's a spectacle when they do, so 90% of the time, it's an assistant or handler. They can be really cool or exceptionally stressed out depending on the demeanor of their boss.

Many companies do such things as "thanks" for celebrities or to promote their products. Apple doesn't need to do either. Hell, Samsung can't even get their PAID celebrities to stop using Apple products.

I'm sure they place their orders straight with Apple and are probably prioritised because of who they are. Its good advertising for Apple and having celeb's pictured with your product is always going to be welcome. Makes sense I would think :)

For free? Do these people care if they pay or not?

They get them for free. It's free advertising...

I agree. As the op said, we are constantly seeing these celebrities posting selfies and in a good portion of them you can clearly see the Apple phone. That is a lot of free advertising when you consider how many print and online sources use these pictures.

And lets face it, while these celebrities definitely don't need free stuff, they are constantly getting it. Interesting how the people that need free stuff the least are the ones that get it the most.

Assistants definitely get them, if not getting special privilege. Having a celeb use your product is a new form of advertisement that sidesteps endorsement. They don't become an official spokesperson, no commercials, none of that - just simple as the celeb using the phone and people will undoubtedly see that.
