I’ve seriously been trying to figure this out for a long time, it’s getting aggravating. I even deleted the music app and it still won’t go away. It should only appear when I’m listening to music! It’s 2019 there is no excuse for stupid glitches like this.

Maybe a screenshot of what you're having an issue with?
Force quitting the app removes the player from the lock screen. Period the end. If it persists, it's not the music app. It's something else or your phone needs a reboot. Post a SS.
Are you saying that even if you close all the apps you still see it on the home screen? What about restarting the device (after closing all the apps)?
Could something related to jailbreaking or a jailbreak tweak be affecting this in some way (perhaps inadvertently)?

When I go to the app switcher and close the music app its gone. If yours doesn’t do this you need to contact Apple support for technical help
I think that would be a little hard to completely rule out.
That said, so, have you tried closing all apps to see if that does the trick? If not, perhaps restarting the device?
I have deleted the music app. This is still showing after force closing all apps. It was gone but then reappeared when I got in my car (handsfree link detection) but it should disappear when I leave the car.

I've seen this happen as well, and it's not necessarily confined to media-specific apps; other apps that are capable of playing media can trigger it as well.
It's a glitch that goes at least as far back as iOS 10, but for me it has never persisted, and usually goes away after a short period.

It’s an AirPlay/Bluetooth issue. Unpair it from your car and leave it unpaired for a while. A day or two. Restart your phone after you unpair it. Then repair it. See if the issue persists.
I just got this car, this problem has existed much longer than that.

Yes. I have force closed all apps and restarted the device. I am able to get it to temporarily go away but it always comes back.
A few things that are bugging me... you're leaving out info from your original post. If this has been going on for a while, it's not an app issue. Specify how long it's been going on. Stop leaving out information.
Lastly, why not start fresh? Don't restore from backup. Clearly something is fouled up in your settings.
There's also a jailbreak and jailbreak tweaks that are in play, from what I understand.

There must be a rogue process running that prompts the OS believe that media is being played, and to display the controls in the lock screen.
I liken it to the glitches where macOS refuses to unmount disks because it thinks it needs to keep the volume mounted and available.
Or, when a PDF is read and then closed in Preview but the Finder refuses to empty the trash because it thinks the file is still in use.
Both are long standing bugs in Mac OS, but at least they're easier to diagnose and work around in that context.

Lol, I like how he conveniently left out all this information. 🙄 No wonder. He's better off wiping, starting from fresh. Won't have an issue after that I am sure.

I shouldn’t have to give up my jailbreak to fix a stupid problem like that.
Unless it's something related to the jailbreak in some way. (And not necessarily give it up, but perhaps might need to tweak some things to try them out to see if they might resolve it.)

But what if the jailbreak is causing the problem? If this is that much of an issue for you, restore the phone and remove the jailbreak to see if the problem is fixed. Then re-jailbreak if you still want it.
