To be honest, at this rate, I merely would like the OP to at least say thanks, or be more welcoming of the help.

The responses seem so curt...

I have this same issue on occasion. About once a month.

My solution is to open a music app, play something, then kill the music app while it's playing. Then you can lock your phone and it shouldn't be there.

Other than what I mentioned, the only other ways to get rid of it .... is to wait until it disappears on it's own (which is always does), or do a restart.

I just has a similar issue with the YouTube App today.

I was playing Spotify at gym, yet YouTube appeared on the lock screen.

I think what caused it was Spotify bugging out after I disconnected the phone from CarPlay, just before entering the gym.

Hard resetting the phone fixed it.

I shouldn’t have to give up my jailbreak to fix a stupid problem like that.

How do you know the jailbreak isn't causing the issue? I don't have the issue.

Logic dictates when you BREAK something on purpose, weird things happen. Put your phone back to factory and see what happens.

Otherwise, stop complaining and live with it. You were presented with quite a few options, all of which you didn't like. You also failed to give any further info other than your topic until pressed. Meaning, you left out obvious things that would be causing this problem.

Agree with another poster, you're pretty curt for all the help you're getting.

Is there a way to remove it permanently when using the music app? I have a 6s and the size of the music widget takes up almost my entire screen when locked and I can’t even seen other notifications they get lost way under the music app widget. I still want to use the music app but I don’t need the widget on the home screen when locked. I can’t find anywhere to remove it permanently.

So far the only suggestions I’ve been given are to restore to factory

You realize we can read the first page of results and see the many, many different suggestions given to you to fix your problem other than doing a factory restore, right? If you are unwilling to listen to the forum members here trying to help you, then call Apple Care or schedule an appointment with the Apple store. Your poor attitude towards people trying to help you is completely unncessary.
