How Do I Keep All My App Data When I Sync With My New MacBook

Ok...In iTunes click on your device and open the apps tab and rearrange the apps to match your iphone, or however you want them, or they will be jumbled up after you sync.

I forgot that its gonna ask you to apply. Do you have contacts, that you want to save?

My contacts and calendar sync with my work account that I have configured along with a few other e-mail accounts. I need to check off the Sync Apps box before it allows me to do anything with the apps, is that OK?

Before you do that, you need to open each tab and answer the questions carefully. Since we aren't concerned with contacts it would probably be ok to hit apply and let it sync, but better to be safe than sorry. In the photos tab, you will need to select your albums, you will also need to select the vids to sync. When you get through with all the tabs, you will need to do your apps again, because if you don't hit apply it will put them back like they were. Sorry bout that, but I forgot. Onece you are done with the apps, hit apply and it should backup and sync. I usually sync it again just to make sure. I'm gonna be up awhile, let me know how it goes.

I believe that you can choose to have it sync your email accounts, on the "info"tab. You will loose your wifi stuff though.

You can select to sync you email accounts under the info tab.

All of your app data should be retained on your phone if we do this right

I'm going to take a backup on my "current" PC in case something goes wrong, but that means that I will need to do the rest tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes.

Is it just me or wouldn't it make sense for Apple to have something in iTunes that allows you to do all of this???

I'm sure that Apple would love to, but they are trying to adhere to copyright laws.
