I have a NT 4.0 workstation at work, it runs Dual Pentium III 650mhz Processors and has 1.5gb SD133 Ram.

The uptime is currently about 6 months (around).
I can't believe that you are touting Winders Not There. We used to have it on all our desktops and workstations. Thankfully we migrated to 2K and XP and got out of the dark ages.

Simply amazing.

macs are prettier FTW.
macs are for people who are serious with professional usage, and need eye candy when they're not designing, video editing, or audio editing.
although the Acer Carbon Fiber Ferrari 2200$ laptop is much prettier than the MBP imo. thats an exception.
rarely do you see a solid pc that's designed with aesthetics in mind (alienware? too big. voodoo? same issue).
in my opinion, i wouldn't want a huge a$$ box (powermacs are sometimes exceptions) sitting on my floor with a bunch of wires leading up to my ugly-as-sin display (unless its an alum ACD).
i <3 me some eye candy, and to each his/her own.

although PCs really are superior. it's bang for the buck, that's their strong point. you can embarass 20'' imac specs with a built-at-home pc.
the availabilty is wider, parts are not limited to one company, and the a pc running windows is just easier to use.

First, WE know that PC's CAN'T do everything Mac's do. We also know that Mac's can't do everything PC's do.
Second, we know that there are various flavors of computer users. Some need the power, some are perfectly content to use the basic systems to do basic things. Things like "creativity" and "TOC" are not arguments that apply to them, whereas "Internet" and "Word processing" are.
Let them be.
It's a game you will lose, and it might even make some bad blood.
PICK YOUR BATTLES.
EVERYONE I know who has seen the REAL power of a Mac has switched. (except my brother-in-law... but that's ANOTHER thread!) One of the biggest PC nuts I know went to an Apple store with his son to get an iPod. The DAD walked out with 5K of Apple gear. He now says it's absolutely the COOLEST stuff he has EVER seen. He even bought Apple stock (which eventually PAID for it all!)
Let the Mac do the talking, my friend.

Don't. Just let him make his own decisions. I'd hate someone trying to convince me that decision I have made is the wrong one - it's my decision, let me deal with it.

Yeah, the evangelism must stop. It's time to stop the conversions and let people come over on their own. Just keep using your machine, say nothing.
Ditto. The Mac users who annoy me the most are the ones who are smug about being Mac users. It was only when I started messing around with a Mac on my own that I began to appreciate its virtues. (And I'm STILL not saying that Macs are "better" than PCs, or vice versa. That's a judgment call on the part of the user.)

Besides, what do you care what kind of computer he uses?
