Thought I would try a more unique poll (hope it's unique) you can vote multiple times because there are three parts. What it is in, what way does the screen face, and power button up or down (for those that it applies to) thought it would be interesting to see everyone's preferences.

My votes are in, might be too complicated. I have to have all of my gadgets a certain way. Hope I'm not alone.

Great poll!

Front left pocket, screen facing my leg, lock button pointing towards the ground, all inside of a case for me.

I think this was a good idea, OP.

I put it in my left pocket, even though I'm right handed. I do it because most jeans I have, have a button/metal piece by the right pocket, which could scratch my phone when putting it in my pocket.

I have the screen facing towards my leg, so that anything I bump into would just hit the phone case. (well, my jeans, with the phone case directly under it)

I put the phone in upside down, unless I have headphones plugged into it. Then I kinda don't have a choice

Glad you guys like the poll, I was nervous about posting it. I use my right pocket, I haven't had a problem with the button yet but now I'm reconsidering. I put the power button up so I can easily hit the silent switch without taking my phone out.

I like to put it with the power button down even with headphones plugged in actually, mostly that way when I reach for the phone my finger is in the position to wake the screen :p

Everyone has the same setup but most put the power button down. Any reasoning for this or just preference?

I usually carry mine exactly like this for the same reasons.

I have one pocket my phone has to be in, but as for direction, sort of whatever way it goes in, usually towards me button up.

Right pocket, screen towards, home button up. It's in perfect position for me to unlock it as I pull it out of my pocket. I put it in button down when using headphones.

Inside of fabric pouch, power button up, screen facing leg.

The fabric pouch protects the phone from getting scratches (also have a case on there as well to protect from small drops), power button up, simply because when I have headphones, it makes sense, and screen facing leg in case I bump into anything.

Exactly the way you described for me too.

Lock button down is the most natural way to put it in and take it out the front pocket.

Left front pocket, screen inwards, power button down. I hold my phone with my left hand so its easier for me to place in left pocket.
