I basically never get angry, it always confuses me when people get in a tizzle over fairly inconsequential misunderstandings, or get riled when any kind of blame falls on them. I generally accept responsibility even when I probably shouldn't, it just makes things easier.

I've had an odd couple of days, I have a gum infection at the moment and i'm on some strong anti-bioticis which seem to be making me irritable and prone to spurts of anger. It's very bizarre and alien to me.

how very odd. how can you not get angry? sure, if something goes wrong in your day, in the big scheme of things it is so tiny it doesnt even matter - but right then in that very moment it will sometimes feel like EVERYTHING. like your world is falling apart.

i guess failure or the thought of failing runs through my head, and that gets me angry that i cant do something/whatever.

I very rarely get angry. Therefore I don't need to deal with it very often :D I guess it's with deep breaths though. In an argument I find I'm always able to keep calm, and if possible, calm the other person down too.

Serenity now!

I just don't tend to get too worked up over things, if something really bothers me I just feel down, anger just isn't usually an emotion I do.

BLAST my music. Usually some spice girls, britney spears or Nsync. haha, just playin. (between you and me I have "circus" on my iPod ;) ) But no I am in that "kid stage" still I assume and am (at 19) still into the rap scene but when I get angry it's usually some rock or hardcore eminem that helps me release some energy.

'Kid stage'?

'Kid stage'?

I hang out with a lot of people that are a bit older than me (24-29) and it just seems that they have all "matured" past this stage and I find as a lot of people get older they kind of grow away from it. I'm not saying that always how it works, just how it seems.

Um, you do what? Please clarify because there are lots of things running through my mind and some of them are not appropriate?

It's a natural way to relieve stress!

I suspect they are people who listen to music as 'fashion', rather than because they enjoy it. Not necessarily all music, just in regards to some genres.

^ Oh, I get it now after seeing how you responded to the post. "Feel" as in emotional feeling, not "feel" as in tactile contact or interaction. *facepalm*

when im angry, i just watch some nostalgic shows like invader zim or rockos modern life. :D

When I'm angry I prefer to be left alone. And within a few hours or the next day I'm usually alright to interact with other people again. In the mean time, I just listen to music or watch episodes of the AVGN...always cheers me up. :)

Really? That's really interesting. I mean do you just not really get into arguments or if an argument is about to happen your really good at defusing the situation?

But really...... I focus my anger on the weights at the gym (anger is rare for me though).

I puke up blood and watch things burn.

It's why I wear one of these

Nah, just kidding. I generally don't get full on angry. When I do, I usually put on my favorite album, put on the headphones and draw (or reread some of my favorite books/comics/graphic novels).

I think people are wired differently and how often ones gets angry is not as key as how one deals with anger. I am lucky to be the under 25% percent category but I don't attribute any of that to moral character or restraint.

Cigarettes, excessive alcohol, excessive prescription drugs over what is needed, or illegal drugs are certainly not the way to deal with anger and stress. Yoga, exercise, eating right, and getting enough sleep are far more effective.

When I was a kid, I did what most kids do with anger which is throw an irrational tantrum. When I found that did not work, I tried to deal with it like my peers did such as cigarettes, getting stoned all the time, overeating, and then drinking. They all provided some relief, but not lasting relief. And those common methods of dealing with anger and stress (and the related emotion of depression) certainly didn't help my health.

It takes forever for a lot of people to come up with an answer to anger, and some learn to control it with their mind/meditation, some exercise and clean living, and some people just naturally mellow with age.

There is no one answer outside of the obvious of keeping one's health as a top priority and the person who believes it's good never to get angry isn't any more or less valid than the person who believes they should sometimes vent their anger in a healthy way (such as one friend of mine who likes to bowl). :)
