Geeze, ive never worked so hard to try to make a donation. I know a macrumors member can donate $30 in exchange for a mug and ive been searching for the past 10 minutes... i have no idea where to do it. Maybe im just blind and i just cant see it. If not i think it would be beneficial for the site to place a link in an easy to see area. Theres many people like me who dont mind donating but just didnt know you could.

The mug deal is gone... instead, go under 'User CP' > left hand side module at the bottom is the category 'Miscellaneous' > Paid subscriptions.

I'm sure you can handle it from there on. :p

True enough. We'll see about publicizing it more.

"Between the Hedges"
We do get questions about it from time to time, but those who want to donate usually find a way. I like the fact that it isn't "in your face" asking for money. And yet, a more prominent link would not be unwelcome.

Agreed. Perhaps a simple link up by the Shop links would be nice.

I'd be up for purchasing a MacRumors mug or t-shirt, whether it was part of contributing, or an item for sale on its own!

Any chance of this happening?

proudly wore my MR shirt the other day.

most people don't know it but while you're wearing the shirt your computer magically has access to double the installed RAM...twice the processor speed also.

not to mention, it's a chick magnet.

politically correct edit: if you desire, it's a dude magnet also.

Good ideas. A MacRumors store with a few basic items.

1. Bring back the mugs
2. Maybe some Polo shirts
3. MacRumors Logo thongs:D :D :D

What does Arn think?

Isn't that the primary function? To better MR? Woo hoo!

This way all of our MR members have the option of receiving their MR logo stuff! Yay! Equal shopping opportunity. :p

So Arn won't have to do much of anything to keep it running smoothly and MR could essentially 'earn' money from this (contributor, status!).

Sounds good except... except that somebody has to go and expand the current lineup and possibly tweak it a little. For example, provide some apparel that would fit the WOMEN of MR. ;) And and and and miniaturize the logo for the women wear and possibly for some of the men's wear to provide choices. And I do know that Cafepress also carries mugs, buttons, mouse pads, etc. :D
